Chapter 1: The Game
"Hurry up and shoot!" I hear my coach yell. I looked at the score board and saw it said the score was 91-90 we were down by one point and there was 1.5 seconds left I quickly shot the ball from half court and as it flew towards the basket the buzzer sounded but the ball was out of my hands before it went off so if it goes in it counts... "The shot is up and IT'S GOOD GLEN BURNIE WINS THE GAME 93-91!" I couldn't believe it I just made a half court shot. "The MVP is number 13 Percy Jackson!" I heard that and then I was tackled in a hug by my twin sister Olivia Thompson. Now before you ask why we have different last names it's because of the fact that our father is the Greek god Poseidon and our mother married a guy named Robert Thompson but he was abusive. So after almost 16 years of marriage she left him and married out step-dad Bob Kelliher and they've been married for 11 years. So she gave us a better life. My name comes from her maiden name which is Jackson. Anyway back to the game. The cheers from the crowd was defending as I'm still in shock I got tackled in a hug again by my twin. "Great shot bro." But before I can respond I feel another person join the hug and then another and some more people join the hug and we all fall to the ground. After a few seconds we're all up and laughing, then I see her...my girlfriend/best friend Annabeth Chase daughter of Athena. "Good job Seaweed Brain." I smiled and kisses her. The refs handed me a certificate that said MVP on it. The team walked to the locker room and the coach just told us good job. "And the game ball goes to Percy Jackson!" The coach handed me the ball. After showering and talking to the guys I left the locker room to see Olivia yelling at Annabeth and one of the football players...
