I think I'll keep the updates to weekends, so either friday, saturday or sunday... whenever I have the chapter ready on those three days... if I have it ready...

Chapter 1: Back to Square One...
"Two people confirmed dead after a helicopter crashed just outside of Philadelphia. Reports say that one of the passengers was in the helicopter was infected with the 'Green Flu'..." The TV turned off, "Damn this shit is depressing." Jessica said, slouching in her spot on the couch, "It may be depressing but at least we're out of class until it clears up." I poured a glass of water and drank from it, "But I need to go to class! I'm gonna die if I don't go." Jessica buried her face into the cushions, Chelsea came and sat down on top of her, "By the way CEDA is making it sound, you're gonna die if you do go to to class." "I'll take my chances if it means I'll die smarter than you two." I rolled my eyes at them and tossed my glass in the sink. Someone knocked at the door, "Come in!" All three of us said in unison. Jared and Brendan walked into the apartment, "Who's ready to get wasted?" Brendan asked, holding up two grocery bags of what I can only assume was alcohol, "Hell yeah! My boyfriend comes and delivers again!" Chelsea hopped off of Jess and ran over to Brendan, attacking him with a kiss, "Whatcha got?" I asked, grabbing the bags from Jared and setting them on the countertop. Inside the bags were miscellaneous brands of whiskey, beer and vodka along with some juices and soda to mix them with, "Well Jess, I don't think not going to class is going to kill you..." She sat up on the couch, "Why do you say that?" I held up the bottles of alcohol, "Because this is what's going to kill you." I laughed.
After many hours of many drinks everyone was definitely feeling it, "I... I freaking love you." Chelsea said to Brendan, "I love me too." They laughed. Jessica was the first to go down, she was asleep on the couch, "Bro, your sister's a lightweight." Brendan laughed, "We should like... Draw a penis on her face." Chelsea said, "What...?" I asked, "Come on, it-it'll be funny." "No it wont, you're so mean." Jared said as he reached for the marker that was sitting on the coffee table, "Aw yeah, do it Jared." Brendan cheered. Jared started drawing on his sister's face. We all sat back and admired the crude artwork, "Damn..." I said, "Thats pretty shitty." "Like you would know Aria. When's the last time you ever saw a dick?" As soon as she said it, I realized that I hadn't had sex in over a year, it was a depressing thought, "Shut up Chelsea." She laughed. Brendan got up, "I gotta take a piss." He left the room, Chelsea got up and stumbled after him, "Where are you going?" I asked, "I'm gonna go get me some." She smirked before heading off into her room, leaving me and Jared in the living room, alone. He looked over and noticed a card sitting on the coffee table, "What's that for?" He asked, picking it up. I scooted closer to him, "That? It's a card I bought for my sister's birthday, she's gonna be 18 in a few weeks and I'm going home that week to spend it with her." He nodded, "Dude, your sister is lucky to have you." "You think so?" "Yeah, you are totally amazing Aria, like you are a very thoughtful person." "Aww, thank you Jared." We smiled at each other. I noticed he kept looking at me, "Why are you staring?" "You are so beautiful." "You're just saying that because you're drunk." "Aria, I've had a crush on you for a long time now, but I could never gather up the nerve to tell you. I think you are the most intelligent and beautiful woman I have ever seen on campus, and you're totally fun to be around. I never said anything to you before because I was too afraid that you would turn me down and it would have made things awkward between us, and-" I cut him off with a kiss. Jared wasn't the most attractive person I knew, but he made up for it in kindness. In highschool I probably would have turned him down so fast, but now I realized I kinda liked him too... It may have been because I was drunk too. We started to make out, Jess made a small noise on the couch and rolled over. I pulled away and looked at him, "Maybe we should go somewhere that isn't in front of your sister." "How about your room?" "I like your thinking." We got up and headed to my room. I closed the door behind me, "This isn't awkward is it?" He asked, "Not if no one knows about it." I said, kissing him again. He put his hands up my shirt, caressing the small of my back as I made out with him. It felt nice to be touched in such a way, I forgot how much I liked it. We made our way over to the bed, I pulled off his shirt, "Aria... Wait..." "What's the matter?" "Well I uh... I've never really... I've never had sex before." He sounded guilty about it, like I was going to laugh at him or something. I straddled him and ran my fingers through his hair, "It's okay. You just sit back and let me take care of everything." I laid him back onto the bed and started unbuttoning his pants.
I woke up the next morning with a severe headache, I noticed my head was laying on something that was not soft. Jared was sound asleep next to me, lightly snoring, I smiled as I remembered how great last night was. I noticed that he was surprisingly fit despite looking like a nerd, he wasn't too muscular but wasn't completely scrawny, I found myself quickly falling for him. I laid my head back on his chest and closed my eyes for a second, he moved and then stretched, "Good morning." I smiled, looking up at him, "Aria?... Shit what happened last night?" He looked down and noticed we were both still naked, "Oh no, did we...Did I...?" "You don't remember what happened last night?" "No, I was so wasted last night." He sat up and buried his face in his hands, "God, Aria I'm so sorry." "For what? You were amazing last night." "I was?" He looked up at me, "Yeah, plus you totally spilled your purse out all over the living room telling me how much you found me attractive but never had the balls to tell me." He face palmed, "How do you remember all that?" "Please, I was drunk but I wasn't that drunk." I got out of bed and put my bathrobe on, "I'm sorry if I made things awkward between us." He stood up, "Jared, it's okay there's nothing to be embarrassed about." I wrapped my arms around his neck, "It'll be okay." I kissed him. He smiled at meI, "You're so amazing." "So you've said." I let go of him and smiled. He started putting his clothes back on when we heard a noise outside, it sounded like semi-trucks driving by, a lot of them, "What was that?" He asked, pulling on his jeans, "I don't know." I walked over to the window and pulled back the curtain. All throughout campus there were military-like vehicles driving through and soldiers were marching through. Jared stood next to me to have a look, "This is bad." He said, "Really bad." I nodded in agreement.
I woke up to the smell of something burning, it was dark outside, and my head was spinning. Something heavy was crushing me, "What the hell?" I noticed that Francis was on top of me, "Francis..." He didn't respond, "FRANCIS!" I yelled in his ear.
He jolted awake, "Ah, what the hell is wrong with you?"
"Get the hell off of me!"
He looked around and noticed he was on top of me, "I bet you like this." He smirked,
"I will kill you if you don't get off of me." I growled. He stood up and helped me up, I looked around and noticed we were in the helicopter but it was tipped on its side, no one else was around, "Where are the others?" I asked,
"I don't know, let's get the hell out of here." He climbed out and pulled me up, we hopped down to the pavement, "You okay?" He asked,
"I think so, I don't think anything is broken." I looked around and noticed we were in a parking lot surrounded by some buildings, "Shit, where the hell are we?" I asked,
"I don't know, the pilot didn't exactly give us a map of where we were heading when he turned."
I rolled my eyes, "We have to find the others."
"What if they didn't make it?"
"Well we wont know unless we look."
"If you insist."
"Guys!" I shouted,
"What are you doing?"
"Trying to find the others."
"Yeah, well keep shouting like that and the vampires are going to find us."
"They're ZOMBIES Francis! And how do you suppose we find the others without yelling for them?"
"Aria?"
I heard a female voice behind me, I turned around, "Zoey, thank god you're okay." I said,
"I'm fine, you guys okay?"
"Yeah. Have you seen the others?"
"No. You guys are the only ones I've seen."
"Woah. Look over there." Francis said, pointing around us.
There was a blood smear trail that led up to a body leaning against the wall, "Oh shit." I said, walking towards it. I was really hoping it wasn't one of our friends, and I sighed in relief when I saw that it wasn't.
Francis and Zoey walked up next to me, "Hey, Zoey, here's the pilot. Case you wanna shoot him again." He smirked,
"He was a zombie Francis." She sighed,
"Quit giving her shit Francis, she saved my life... She saved everyone's life."
"We can't be so sure about that if we don't know where they are."
"Hello? Is anybody around?!" I heard someone call, it was another female voice, a younger one,
"Holy shit that's Billie!" I said. She sounded like she in the helicopter but she wasn't, "Billie?"
"Over here!" She said.
I walked around the helicopter to see her sitting up against it, "Billie, are you okay?"
"M-my arm..." She sniffled, "I think it's broken."
"Let me see." I knelt down next to her to examine her arm,
"Have you s-seen Margo?"
"No, but don't worry we'll find her." I moved her arm a little bit, she winced in pain, "I think you might have a fracture, but I'm not sure. It doesn't appear to be broken." I looked her over and noticed her foot was bent at a funny angle, "I think your foot is broken though." I pulled my bag off of my back, "Here." I set it right and wrapped it, "That should help, you're gonna have to keep off of it though."
"T-thanks." She wiped the tears from her face.
I scooped her up in my arms, "We still have to find Bill, Margo, and Louis." I said to Francis and Zoey,
"How about we cut our losses and get the hell out of here."
"Francis." I scolded and gestured to Billie with my eyes so he'd get the message that we weren't leaving anyone behind.
He sighed, "Fine, we'll find the others." I nodded in agreement, "Lead the way then." I was delighted that he told me to take lead, the only problem was that I didn't know where to even start looking for the others. I looked around, "What's the matter? I thought you had a plan." He smirked,
"Shut up, I'm trying to think."
"I thought that smell was the helicopter burning." Zoey smirked, Francis laughed,
"Screw you guys, if you're not going to help me then you can sit your annoying asses here." I went back around the helicopter. I noticed that the one building had boards sitting in front of the door instead of the door being boarded up, "Billie, I'm gonna have to give you a piggyback ride, I need to use my gun."
"Okay." I gently sat her down. She balanced her weight onto her uninjured foot as I turned around so she could hop on my back,
"You okay?" I asked,
"Yeah, I'm good."
"Good, we gotta check that building over there."
"Okay." She nodded.
I pulled out my pistol and approached the door, "Shh..." I put my finger to my lips before carefully opening the door. The room was nothing more than an empty storage room, "Louis? Bill? Margo?" I walked in, shining my flashlight around to make sure there weren't any zombies around,
"Aria, look." Billie pointed at a zombie that was dead on the ground, "Someone's been here."
"Hopefully it's the someones that we are looking for." I stepped over the zombie, "Guys...?"
"Over here kid." I heard Bill say. We rounded a corner to see Bill and Louis were standing there, "Thank god you guys are okay." I approached them,
"Yeah, we're fine, we just held out here for a bit. Where are the others?" Louis asked,
"Francis and Zoey are outside, I haven't seen any sign of Margo though."
Louis looked at Billie, "It's okay, she can't be too far, maybe she went ahead trying to find us." I nodded and we walked out of the building.
Zoey and Francis were standing by the helicopter still, Zoey looked like she was about to beat the shit out of Francis, which would have been funny to see. We approached them, "Hey Mr. Positive, we just crashed. You got something positive to say about that?" Francis asked,
"That was my first time in a helicopter, pretty exciting!" Louis said,
"Alright, I'll give you that." We all looked at the burning helicopter, "Alright, nobody panic, I have a plan." Francis said,
"Great, what is it?" Louis asked him. I was intrigued to see what kind of plan Francis could come up with, he wasn't exactly the "idea" type,
"Well, it's pretty complicated. I don't want to bore you with a lotta the... complex... fractions, but step one is that we walk that way." He said, pointing to a clearing through some cars.
I rolled my eyes, "Great plan Francis." I guess it wasn't a completely shitty plan, at least he had something which was more than what I had. I adjusted Billie so she wouldn't slide off of my back, "Well then, lets hike the hell outta here." I said.
