A/n: Because the Tallests always deserve a tribute. Please enjoy. *bow*
It was quiet as most of the Irkens rested before the Armada was to head for Turainia, a planet that had all but lost to Invader Zak when he'd arrived. But the restless Tallest was less then interested in the planet or the new technology or whatever else Red had babbled on about through four snack periods and lunch. It never failed that Red got excited when the mention of technology for new weapons came to his attention.
Purple could care less about weapons or destruction. What he wanted most was home. He wanted to be back on Irk helping his fellow scientists create ways to save their planet and restore Irkens to what they once were. Purple stared at the hologram of Irk and it's three moons. The largest was Smeet, the control brain and the Smeetery resided on this moon so it was very heavily guarded by an Elite force of ships. The second in size, a blue moon with a misty covering, Sela, was a moon that housed scientists and drones, there were labs after labs dedicated to a science that was once prized among all Irkens. The smallest moon, a red one, Drag, was a planet for the Irken Army. Prostitutes, drugs, Snofs and gambling existed on Drag. The main populace lived on the orange planet that was Irk.
These moons and their planet, Purple missed them greatly. He wished he had refused the Tallest position and left it to Red. Anything to see that planet again. Anything to be on Sela and watch as the more noble soldiers walked around and spoke of war and tactics. Anything to visit the Smeetery and watch the smeets train and train to one day be great Irkens. He knew he'd given up that long ago, but he wanted to see the planet once more. To lift a smeet to it's feet and show it a better method to defeat it's enemy.
He missed his home.
He laughed at the irony of being on the Massive and taking over another planet. They were destroying other races to save their own. Purple looked at the information before him. It showed something he just couldn't believe. He knew long ago that Irkens had not always been Irkens. Long ago they had been called Ancients and had been a much gentler race, but the Ancients had broken apart when they learned they could reach far into the Heavens.
They became two separate species. Gians and Irkens. That had been thousands of years ago. Before the Great Sickness and the Control Brain. It had been far to long ago to be of any matter, except that Zim had found the remaining Gians. On a planet called Earth, Zim had found Humans, Irk's ancient ancestors. They had evolved past the humans and into fearless, deathless creatures.
"Pur." the restless Tallest turned to see Red standing there annoyed, "Bed."
"Red… I wanna go home. If only for a short while." Red frowned before sighing and approaching his mate.
"As you wish, My Tallest." stupid Red, they were the same height.
a/n: I always imagined them to be close and to be able to joke around with each other. I know Irkens are supposed to be living war machiens, but I still feel that they need a rival who is also their friend and possible lover... ooooooooooooo! Plot bunny. Thank you for reading. *bow*
