AN: It's not Beta'd, so there will be mistakes. But i got this idea from Facedown by Red Jumpsuit Apperatus. I love the song but I was just like omg! Darry-Soda-Pony! Wh00t! So this is more of a Soda-Pony fluff with angsty Darry! I dunno, I'm gonna stop talking now.
I watched a fist come down onto my brother again and again. It was horror before my eyes. My blonde hair fell into my eyes as I watched another hit be dealt onto his limp form. Thee hit's ago he was screaming for mom. Three hit's ago he was conscious for this beating, three hits ago… He was pleading for me to stop him. And I did, I had screamed, bit, anything to get my older sibling off my younger. But it was useless, because three hit's ago, he had stopped begging for help.
His limp form hit the ground when Darry was done with him and I scrambled to his side and picked him up into my arms.
"Pony…" I looked up at Darry with an angry glint in my eye.
"Do you feel like a man now? You've pushed him around enough!" I screamed at him, mom and dad were gone, Johnny and Dallas were gone, I didn't need him beating on my little brother, killing him too. There was no wonder Pony talked of a boy's home in his sleep. Darry turned around and looked at me. He hadn't been the same since he had lost his job. He would always come home drunk and yell at Pony for no reason... But tonight, it was worse. Darry had gone crazy and started wailing on the poor fourteen-year-old. I had been bringing in enough money for us to keep the house and bring in food, and then Pony had gotten a summer job at DX so we had even more, that's where Darry got his drinking money. He always said that he would come home sober one day, but since he had been doing this, no one would hire him.
"He's unconscious now! Leave him alone." I pleaded with him. He looked at me with big eyes as if he couldn't believe I was standing up for Pony. I stood up and picked up my younger brother, cradling him to my chest, and I took him into our room to clean him up and get him to bed. He would feel this in the morning, there was already a bruise forming around his right eye.
As I went about my business I kept mumbling to myself, "I can tell him, this worlds gonna end one day. Our lives are in the crapper because of him, and Ponyboy's going to be sent to a boys home to find a new life for himself." Ponyboy looked a lot better after I had cleaned off all the blood on his face and stopped his nose bleeding.
I climbed into bed with him and put my arm over him protectively, I wouldn't let anything happen to him like that again. Darry had to learn that Pony was still just a kid and that he was doing everything he could to help this family stay a family, but Darry was only just pushing him away, and I was watching it happen.
Not anymore, I was going to get Darry to stop trying to hurt him, even if that meant me having to hurt him.
AN: So? Crap? Good? REVIEW?! Anyways, I don't think ths was really goosd I just got really bored.
