I don't have time for this Mickey. We've got to go. Seriously. This is getting to be ridiculous. The way you primp at the last the minute.
I don't primp at the last minute. You primp at the last minute.
Dax rolled his eyes, and shifted his weight on to his left butt cheek he had propped against the window sill. Mickey was always inconsiderate when it came time to leave.
He knew this better than anyone. He also knew he would never be able to change that about her. He let his mind dwell...Meditate on that thought for awhile. He gazed into the tropical fish tank full of expensive Japanese fish and before you know it his mind started to wander. There are these brief moments in life at times. Where you start to look at something and then seconds later it feels good. You're lost in thought. Thinking about whatever seems to be of importance at the time, and all of a sudden like an airport shuttle stop. Your jerked back to reality by someone's voice nagging about something or other or a loud noise parallel to your business at the time. Causing you to be reminded that now. At this time you are back to reality. Dax. More than anyone else in the world hated that feeling. Ever since Dax was a child he's had this sort of ability (if you will). He's never told anyone. He's never considered it a normal thing that he can escape into his imagination easily at a moment's notice, and dream he's being fed grapes by two exquisite sirens embracing around him.
At dinner Mickey yaps about some sort of acting gig she got in queens. Who acts in queens he thought? What job did she have their she was fabricating into a real gig? Hmm. He thought. Arranging his asparagus into what resembled a log cabin. Oh snap. He remembered and tried to keep himself as quiet as he was before. Mickey didn't like it when he, all of sudden started laughing when she was talking. It's funny that she never really caught on it was b/c he was laughing at some crazy bologna she had made up to make herself seem successful to her parents. She was dressed up as a chicken for a chic n' joint publicity event. She had to give out free chick n' joint sandwich coupons. She actually came home w/Feathers in her hair. She never explained and Dax didn't ask. Knowing she would have blown up about it. She was sensitive enough. To her feelings anyway. This time it was hard to control his laughter. At that thought. That memory they had together. When was that? He tried to remind himself to keep his mind off of the mindless and non engaging chatter of her car dealership owning father and his double d trophy wife he ordered off the internet. He wondered if kids really grew up to be their parents who would Mickey replace him w/? That brought a serious expression to his face. Which killed his good mood altogether. This made the table a circle of likeminded individuals. For the moment anyway. For now.
