The Guardians
"Elaina run!"
"Rob!"
"AHHH-"
"Irainna what's going on?"
"Stay here and be quiet, Raquelly. I'll find out." Leaving the attic that served as my room I crept to the top of the stairs, as I approached the screaming got louder.
"Why are you doing this?" That was Raquelly's mother, Claire.
"The Volturi no longer wish to associate with humans and for that the Guardians are being exterminated." Vampire. The mocking, menacing tone sent chills down my spine. A familiar of the Volturi. Why were they attacking us? Why were they here?
"Jane quit playing around, let's finish this job." came a command.
"No! Stop-" my father's cry was cut off by a horrible squelching noise followed by one that sounded like splatter.
"Joseph!"
"Run! Get out of here!"
"Make sure they don't' get away!"
Chaos erupted. I sat terrified at what I was seeing, spying through the railing of the stair case. My family, Raquelly's family was being slaughtered right before my eyes. Suddenly it was over. Blood stained the walls and pooled on the floor soaking into the carpet.
"Come on we need to make this look like humans did it." one of the Volturi's vampires' commanded. Silently I made my way back to the attic, on the second landing I meant Raquelly.
"My God Irainna, my God. What have they done? Where are my parents? Where is my family?" her voice was nothing but a petrified whisper.
"Come on Ra-ra we need to hide. Come on." I urged her to her feet and dragged her back into my room.
"I heard all the screaming, all of them. Irainna what happened?"
"Not now, the Volturi's familiars are still here. We need to hide." Opening my closet door I shoved her in, shutting the door behind me. Going to one of the back corners I pressed an indention on the wall which gave way to a door that lead to a hidden room.
"Get in, quickly." I ordered Raquelly. Once she was in I followed after, sliding the door behind me. And we waited.
