Niall jumped as the silence between he and Irial was broken by a knock sounded on the door of the study they were both sat in.
"Enter." Niall said blankly. As he spoke the door opened, Gabriel was stood in the doorway, he looked slightly nervous, which was unlike him. Very unlike him. "What is it?"
"If it's about Ani, we haven't heard from her since the last time you asked." Irial rested his head on his hand in boredom.
"It's not about Ani." Gabriel told them. His voice shook on the word 'not'. Something was wrong. "You have a visitor."
Niall looked at him in suspicion, at first he though that the visitor was War. He wouldn't put it past Bananach to come to their home. But Gabriel would be angry if it were War, not nervous like he sounded to them now. "Who?"
"Can she come in?" He dodged the question. Well, they knew it was a woman. Niall noticed Irial shift out of the corner of his eye.
"You only get nervous around one woman." Irial raised an eyebrow at him.
"Can she?" Gabriel obviously didn't wish to discuss it.
"Fine." Niall was curious to know who this visitor was now. Plus he was getting bored of the conversation that was going nowhere.
"That's all the better then, brother, as I had no plan of leaving." A female voice radiated around them, Niall saw Irial tense up slightly. He looked behind Gabriel to see the figure of a woman he hadn't seen in years.
"Kyra." Irial whispered as the woman walked into the room. The back of her dress was long but with slits up the sides, the front was short and reasonably high above her knees. Her legs were covered by black tights, with a pattern resembling slashes up from her feet to her knees. Her long black hair was hanging gently on her back, running down to her hips, the purple streaks in it shone as the sunlight outside hit it. The tribal-like tattoos that covered her right shoulder were bold and seemed to nearly leap from her near white skin. She didn't look too old, nineteen at the oldest. In truth she was much, much older than that.
"Sister." She was Niall's sister.
"Hello." She strode past Gabriel gracefully. Even the way she dropped onto the sofa was graceful. She lay across it and placed her hands behind her head.
The only thing Irial could think about was how the dress clung to her. He had to look away from her to shove the thoughts from his mind. Thoughts he'd had before, that had led to something repeatedly with Kyra. But she was Niall's sister, this wasn't meant to be happening.
Kyra just smirked as Irial turned his head from her. Then she turned her own attention to her brother.
"Hell there, big brother." She smirked.
"What are you doing here, sister?" He asked her coldly.
"Now, now, Niall. Don't be so short with your own little sister." She was playing around with him.
"Kyra." Niall kept his face expressionless. Kyra glanced at him before sighing and staring at the ceiling.
"I need to find Bananach." She said simply.
Irial and Niall's eyes widened. "What?" They said in unison.
"You two been practising that?"
"Sister." Niall growled.
"I said, I need to find Bananach." She repeated with a sigh and roll of her eyes.
