Hey, this is a lil fic to pull at the heart strings. Let me know if I succeded! ;)
It was hard to say when she had fallen in love with that tall, leggy blond. She can remember many things, individual things, that she loved about her. However she wasnt sure, when she knew, that she wanted to spend her life with this woman. No, that's not true. She knew. She just couldn't remember. Not today, ironically enough. Today of all days, she couldn't put her finger on it. She stood, thinking that it was strange. She hadn't shed a tear today. She must have cried her self dry already. She knew it was time to go. She just wasnt sure how to take those steps. She didnt know how to walk into that room, with all those people. She didnt know how... No. She couldnt think of that. Of what waited for her in the next room. Instead she needed to concentrate. She needed to remember. Suddenly the connecting door opened.
"Liv. You need to come out." Fin whispered. He was being gentle. They all were. They treated her like she was glass, about to break. And who knew, maybe she would. Maybe suddenly she would just crack.
"Liv. Honey. You need to face this." he continued.
"I-I..." she swallowed thickly, her throat was dry, like it was caked with sand. She finally got her voice working again. "I dont remember. I dont remember when I fell in love with her." she choked out. Fins face filled with sympathy. "I cant face... That, until I remember." she reasoned with him, though she was really reasoning with herself. Buying time until...
"Yes you can. Its gonna be hard, but you can." He said, Gently again. Finally she worked up the strength to take a step foreward. And tehn another one. Until she was walking. She slowly made her way up the isle, between the chairs.
She stopped short. She still couldnt look. Not until she thought of what Alex would say right now. She'd be pissed that she was so scared. So she took that step forward. And she looked into the casket.
And it was Alex. Just Alex. And in that moment, looking upon her for the last time, that she remembered. They had stood in the rain, sobbing in eachother's arms, after a hard case. She just knew that she would protect that woman with everything she could.
She finally found the strength to say it.
"Goodbye my Love. You will forever hold my heart. So go, and wait for me. I'll be there soon." She whispered. And a lone tear fell. It landed on the blond's cheek. And it was then, that she closed the lid on her heart. Leaving only the lone tear.
