Hey, everyone! :) This is the sequel to Marrying the Victor! Hope you find it interesting!
I think it might be in different points of views this time, but I'm not sure.
Anyway, enjoy!

The time for the 75th Hunger Games begins today.
I sit up from by bed and stretch. Beside me, Cato snuffs in his sleep and rolls over. I laugh.
A year ago, if someone would have said that we would be sharing the same room, I would have cut them. Painfully.
But now, Cato and I have grown close, much more than you can imagine. We did a lot of things together, more than we would have.
And just six months ago, after him telling me first, I realized I loved him.
Sure, he was big and brutal, but underneath all that, he was gentle and sweet.
He was my Cato.
Getting out of bed, I thought back to just a week ago. President Snow from the Capitol announced that the 75th Hunger Games were beginning in a week and he had thought of the special event that happened every 25 years.
He had decided for the 3rd Quarter Quell that one previous Victor would be chosen from each district to fight, along with a partner who had never fought in the Hunger Games.
There were many Victors from District Two, my district. My husband was the most previous one, winning the 74th Hunger Games.
I don't know anything about the first Quarter Quell, but I do remember the second Quarter Quell.
A District 12 boy won, which no one had expected. The special event for that year was to have twice as many tributes from each district.
There have only been two Victors from District 12. The boy and a girl in the 73rd Games.
What was her name? Oh yes, Katniss Everdeen, the fourteen-year-old archer. She let all of the tributes kill each other, and when there were only a couple left, she shot them and eventually won.
On the night of our wedding, Cato said he wouldn't let me enter the Hunger Games. He would die before that would happen.
But I thought, What if I'm reaped and no one volunteers? I lay in bed for hours, thinking that over and over again.
Little did I know that that question would come to me again.
