Kingdom Hearts: Reconnect the Pieces

Hikari never imagined her life as anything but normal. Not even when her mother dropped her off on Destiny Islands and vanished without so much a word as to why. But now, six months later and after a chance encounter on the beach, she'll soon find her past called into question, and must set out on a journey to find the answers she seeks. No O.C/Character pairings.

1. Prologue

So, this story will feature . No, they will not be Mary Sues. Those can all die in a fire. Also, still a bit iffy on pairings (as in I'm not pushing for any in this particular story), but I can assure that there will be no main character/O.C stuff, because I'm not terribly fond of that. This particular 'chapter' is also going to be rather short. More like a preview than an actual chapter, actually.

Prologue

There are some things in this universe that are best left forgotten.

"You are strong, but still ignorant if that is what you truly think. All things are connected. There are no such things as coincidences."

"So what does that have to do with me?"

"My dear . . . it has everything to do with you."

But those forgotten things are sometimes found.

"Who are you?"

"I guess you could call me 'your answer', if we want to be mysterious about it."

"Okay, 'my answer', what do you mean?"

"I'm an answer to your past. An answer to your future. And an answer to your power."

Another journey is about to begin.

"What is a keyblade?"

A journey that could decide the fate of all the worlds.

"You could decide the outcome of this entire war with your power! Why aren't you using it?"

"Because that's exactly what he wants!"

And as light and dark begin to clash . . .

"You think you can run, but there is no escaping your fate!"

"Guys, LOOK OUT!"

"AAAH!"

"SORA!"

A new enemy rises from the ashes and threatens it all.

"This system of theirs has so far failed. They try and stem the darkness, and it only grows worse. You need only to look at their past endeavors to see the evidence."

"So what is your solution?"

"Regulation. An Order to end this charade of heroism and apply that power where it may actually accumulate some results."

"Ha-ha-ha. You know as well as I do that they will not simply submit to this Order should you offer them this choice."

"Choice? Sir, I never said anything about a 'choice'."

It is time . . .

"Hikari."

" . . . Mom?"
