Distractions

Usual disclaimer. Nobody but myself and my computer belong to me. The rest of the
freaks are somebody else's. (Mirage or something, right?)

"Well, this is a story. Something should happen," said Goose, "And I will need
characters…"
"Why not write more about us?" said Michaelangelo, who was rudely looking over her
shoulder.
"Well… I've already written two about y'all and I have another one in the works… I
have other obsessions too, ya know," said Goose, trying to get the rude little turtle to
leave.
Donatello, who was reading a magazine, looked hurt. "Don't you like us anymore?"
The conflicted author felt it was looking rather hopeless. "Of course I still like you guys!
Don't be silly!" she said. "I just haven't been paying enough attention to my other
obsessions. I haven't drawn a CATS character for a while now, and it's been WEEKS
since my last 'I-Love-Terry-Mann' babble."
Michaelangelo looked upset over something. "You… You want to stop drawing us? But
you just figured out how to get it right!"
"I'm not going to stop doing anything, just cut back a bit… I still haven't got all the fics
I want posted up because I've been writing about you!"
"Me actually," said Raphael.
"Yeah," said Leonardo. "When are you gonna write about the rest of us?"
"Um… Whenever I get around to it? Besides I've got short story due in English next
week…"
"Doesn't fanfic count?" asked a confused Donatello.
"No, it doesn't. It's got to be original."
"Where's the fun in that?" Raphael exclaimed. "How can it be good without us?"
Goose glared at him. "Some things are good for the simple fact that you AREN'T there,
you know."
The Turtles looked confused.
Goose looked back at her screen. "Now see what you've done! I've gone and written a
fic about you when I was meaning to do my homework!"
"We have that affect on people," said Donatello. And then the fic was over.
