Logan has sent Max on an Eye's Only mission alone. Or that's what he thinks.
Max has had a bad day. First of all, there was no food in the cupboards. Secondly, she was an hour early for work. And then when she finally got to work, she had to go deliver a package with (who she thought was the most annoying person in the world) Alec. When they were on their way to the destination, he made her lose her concentration and she almost got hit by a car. When they were finished, she headed to Logan's place. What she didn't know was that Alec was following her. She opened Logan's door.
"Hello? Logan? Are you in here?"
"Yeah I'm in here Max."
She entered the room and saw him at his computer, which was no surprise.
"So what was it that you wanted me to do?" She asked the man curiously.
"I want you to go to Kapurra Island to find Mr. Valintino. He has a few files that don't belong to him. Here are the names of them." He hands Max a piece of paper. She glances at it and then looks at him again.
"You will be staying at Kiko Resort. It's right by the beach front and I got you a room with an ocean view."
"Are you trying to hint something Logan?" She asks him teasingly.
"No. I just thought that you might want a break that's all."
"So when am I leaving?"
"Tomorrow. The ferry leaves at 1pm."
"Ok. I gotta go." She turns and walks out. He watches her leave. He knows nothing will ever happen between them now that Alec is here. Although she hasn't realized it yet, she is attractive to him and Logan knows it. Max closes Logan's door behind her. She starts to walk towards the elevator.
"Can I come Maxie?" Max jumped.
"Alec. Don't ever do that to me again." She warns him.
"I'm sorry Maxie."
"How many times have I told you not to call me that?"
"Oh, c'mon Maxie." He emphasizes her name.
"If you call me that one more time, I will grab your crouch so hard that your eyes will pop out. Got it?"
"Got it." He says seriously, knowing that she means it.
"You still haven't answered my question."
"No you cannot come with me to Kapurra Island. Logan is only sending me so you won't stuff this up."
Although he shows no signs of it, Alec is hurt by what Max said.
"Well maybe I only stuff things up because you let me." He didn't know where that came from. He doesn't even know if that made sense but he does know that he is sick of Max picking on him all of the time. He can be serious. He would prove it to her.
"I gotta go. I've got things to do." He told her. He took the stairs. Being in an elevator with Max was too hard for him. He knew he would do something he would regret. He ran out of the building. Alec was full of energy, besides the night was only just starting. He decided her would ride his bike to the wharf to get a ticket for the ferry.
When he finally arrives, the building was closing. He looked at the girl taking in the signs. Looked like an easy target, he thought to himself. He walked over to her.
"Hi. Look I know you're closing and I don't want to be a hassle but I was wondering if I could get a ticket for the 1 o'clock ferry tomorrow?" He flashed his gorgeous smile at her. She fell for it.
"Follow me; I'll see what I can do."
She typed something into the computer and frowned.
"I'm sorry, but it looks like all the tickets have been sold."
"Can't you sneak me on or something?" He smiled at her again. This time she didn't fall for it.
"I'm sorry but there is nothing else I can do. Now will you please leave?"
"Sure. Sorry to bother you." He hoped on his bike and rode to his apartment. Alec had another way to get onto that boat. He hoped into the shower to freshen up. He then headed to crash.
