Everybody Loves Demitri, Why Would We Even Bother With Raymond
Demitri was an 11-year-old boy who, in Grade 6, was the class clown. He made everyone laugh, expect for Mrs. Duke and Mr. Rempel. They were a bit annoyed when he said funny stuff in class. This explains the record of 3 detentions a week. Derek, his best friend, sometimes would give Demitri some help, by giving him some extra chalk. This explains why Demitri only hangs out with Derek 2 days a week.
One Wednesday morning recess, Demitri and Derek were hanging out by the ice (which is next to the schools Division 3 basketball court), and Demitri was making up jokes about how Mrs. Duke's room smells and how the notebooks are covered with Dorito stains. Derek was thinking when he should give Demitri a broken jaw.
Soon, it was hometime. Demitri went home and found the newest issue of Cosmo Magazine had arrived. Demitri checked the World News section. "Killer Bees invade Vietnam," read Demitri. He turned the page. There was a contest. Winner gets to go on comedy show The Chuckling Orange, the contest read. "I'm going to win this contest!" Demitri exclaimed. "I'm going to win! I'm going to... I want an orange."
Demitri checked the mail to see if he had won each day, even on Sundays. Then, on a Friday afternoon, he opened the mailbox to discover a tiny man holding an envelope. "You won the contest," said the tiny man. "You look like Cosmo from The Fairly Oddparents TV show," Demitri said. 'I am!" said the little man. "And I will grant you one wish." "I wish I was on the that comedy show right now," wished Demitri.
Demitri soon found himself on a stage, looking out at a whole bunch of people. He was a bit nervous. He didn't know what to say. He decided to say something silly. "Who here likes the show The Fairly Oddparents?" Demitri called out. "I do! I do!" shouted a girl from the audience. It was Demitris friend from school, Tayneal. "I will grant you one wish," called out Demitri. "I wish you'd get off the stage!" shouted a man. "I make the wish, you moron!" Tayneal said. She threw a rock at the man. "Owww," muttered the man. "Serves you right," said Tayneal.
Demitri then thought of something to say to the crowd. "It's worth a try," Demitri thought. So he called out, "How now brown cow?" Everybody except Tayneal were laughing there heads off. Some people were crying with laughter and one person stubbed his toe. "Woo hoo!" shouted Demitri. He then noticed Cosmo by his ear. He was still small. "I wish I was back home!" said Demitri to Cosmo. From that day on he was famous throughout Canada.
And that is why Everybody loves Demitri. And nobody bothered with Raymond.
