"Shut up, Yuushi." And with that, Gakuto is gone, disappearing out the door and into the night.

Yuushi wants to get up, grab Gakuto and kiss and make up. But he knows, deep down, that he doesn't deserve it. Not after what he has so royally fucked up.

--

Gakuto is striding along the streets of busy nightlife Tokyo, taking as big steps as his short legs will allow him, all the while cursing under his breath, "Stupid Yuushi, stupid, stupid Yuushi."

The rain is pouring in torrents, and Gakuto wipes at his eyes, hoping the rain will conceal his tears. "Stupid Yuushi." He mutters.

Then, a familiar hand closes around his wrist, warmth sharply contrasted to the stinging cold September rain brings. Gakuto's mind barely registers the touch before the redhead finds himself smothered in an embrace, face colliding with hard chest.

"I'm sorry." Yuushi's Kansai accent is thicker than usual with emotion. He no longer cares that he does not deserve Gakuto's forgiveness, yet he still waits with bated breath, mind still frighteningly insecure what his response will be.

When it becomes apparent that he is somehow forgiven, Yuushi dares to sneak a look at his little acrobat. Gakuto's red pageboy cut is soaking wet, and Yuushi realizes his own shaggy hair is dripping water too. His glasses are blurry with rainwater, and Gakuto is but a red blob.

He is detachedly aware that they must look a ridiculous sight, two teenage boys hugging in the middle of a heavy rainstorm. But he pays that observation little heed.

He swipes at Gakuto's eyes with a callused thumb. "I'm sorry," he repeats tone still unusually sincere, "for making you cry." That makes Gakuto look up, eyes indignant despite their swollen state.

"I wasn't crying," he protests, although his voice is still thick with tears choking his throat.

"Your eyes and nose are red." Yuushi points out, and Gakuto cannot find a way to refute his observation and settles for thumping an offended fist lightly against his chest. Yuushi's chest rumbles with husky laughter; its vibrations are contagious, and soon Gakuto is laughing too.

They clutch each other, laughing at nothing and everything and each other, because everything is now in place and just perfect, them laughing in the rain.
