Sirius Black x OC
The train lurched forward as it began its journey to Hogwarts. Ella pressed her forehead against the window of her compartment as she watched the trees in the distance zoom past her. Ella was a third year student, and was in the house of Godric Gryffindor. Though she never said it out loud, she thought that Gryffindor was the best house in Hogwarts (and not just because she herself was in it). Her thoughts turned, however, to the events that occurred earlier today. Her father had escorted Ella to Platform 9 3/4, to bid farewell to the only child he had. Ella's father had brought Ella into a big hug, saying things about how proud he was of her, and how she was growing up so fast. Ella detested cheesy farewell's like this, but stayed silent. After all, she was the only thing her father had left.
Ella's attention shifted to the sound of her compartment door being slid open. A boy with messy dark hair peeked in. When he spotted Ella, his face broke out into a large grin. The first impression Ella got of him was happy. Ugh. It wasn't that Ella didn't like happy people (well, who was she kidding), it was just that she usually found that happy people tended to be egotistical or just plain annoying. And she absolutely hated those kinds of people. So when the dark haired boy asked her if his friends could sit with her, as there were no other compartments, Ella was reluctant. After all, she didn't want to share a compartment with some annoying twat and his friends. However, because she was in a better mood than she had been all week, she agreed. The boy gave Ella a large grin, turned, and called to his friends.
A couple minutes later, Ella was sitting with five boys, all from Gryffindor. There were two boys that especially annoyed Ella. One had short black hair that stood out in all directions. A pair of spectacles stood on the bridge of his nose, and one of his collars were folded forward. He had been the person to come into her compartment. The other was a boy with long dark hair, who's tie wasn't placed on properly. They had introduced themselves (without being asked) as the Marauders, with the names of Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, James Potter, and Peter Pettigrew. "What is your name?" asked James.
"Why do you care?" Ella could feel her patience slowly wearing out. She thought that it had been obvious that she did not want to talk to these people. After all, she had been trying to ignore them ever since they'd came to her compartment.
"I know who she is," quietly stated the boy called Remus, "she's in our year. Ella Walker." The boy with the dark hair, Sirius Black, swept his eyes over Ella as he listened to what Remus said.
"I've never seen her before." Ella rolled her eyes. She could already tell he had a large ego.
"Just because you've never seen me before," said Ella, "it doesn't mean that I don't exist." There was a short silence after Ella finished, and she watched as a smirk slowly formed on Sirius Black's face.
"Aren't you something, Walker." Stated Sirius, the smirk still present on his face, "you are definitely something interesting."
From that day on, Ella's journey to insanity (a gift from the Marauders) began. Little did she know though, it was also a journey filled with laughter and friendship.
