Here's something I just randomly thought of… what if Itachi had to get glasses? How would that affect his Sharingan?
I do not own Naruto…
My brother always was better at everything than me. He was a better fighter, a better swimmer, had better hearing, anything that you could think of, he was better than me at it, or had it better than me.
Until a few years ago.
My brother and I were scheduled to go to our doctor for a checkup. While we were there, the doctor decided to check up on our eyesight as well. I passed my test with flying colors, but I was ready for my brother to pass so much better than me. He read the letters off the board with one eye closed. I waited for the 'excellent' from the doctor.
I didn't hear it. I glanced over at my brother to see him waiting for the doctor to say it as well. The doctor said something, all right, just not what my brother wanted to hear.
He needed glasses.
My brother was furious; I was trying not to crack up laughing. Finally, I had won at something. Sure, it's not like I beat him at fighting, got the girl I wanted, pushed him into mud and skipped all the way home without being called a homo, but it was still pretty awesome.
The doctor led my fuming brother out of the office and I followed behind silently. My brother picked out some regular rectangular glasses, got a prescription filled, and walked out the door, still pretty mad. I considered skipping out, but I still hadn't beaten my brother at fighting and pushed him into mud.
But all in good time…
My brother put on his glasses and turned to me. He had activated his Sharingan. Using me as his test dummy was one of his favorite pastimes. I stood my ground, waiting for the scary hit to come. I closed my eyes and waited.
And waited…
And waited….
And waited….
I opened my eyes to see my brother on his back on the ground. Trying not to crack up laughing, I knelt down to him, an amused smile on my face.
"Hey, Itachi. You don't have the Sharingan anymore. You have the SharinGlasses." My brother glared at me, and kicked me in my shin.
Oh, well. It was nice while it lasted.
I liked that! As you can see, it wasn't written in the Naruto world, exactly, more like in the real world. I had to do that because I don't think that they have eye doctors in the Naruto world… but please, review.
