It has been too long since my last publish, so in light of The Legend of Zelda: ALBW, I thought I would write this story. (And the game isn't out yet! Its release can't come soon enough.)

The heavy downpour of a storm's rain drummed down on the built of a darkened castle. No sound emitted from the footsteps of a lone figure as it paced itself down the gloomy carpet-covered corridor; a stern expression sat on their face with eyes looking in no other direction but forward. Their breathing, calm, even as the figure stole a glance out a nearby window; ocean blue met a withered landscape of once lively trees that no longer showed signs of life. While walking up a spiral carpeted staircase, thoughts rushed to mind on the sudden, but recent invasion of monsters, none of which were familiar to the individual. Quickly, the land's inhabitants had become outmatched and outnumbered with the choices of surrender or death on the line. As a door became closer with each step towards the top, a hand reached out for the knob before turning; pulling it open to reveal a darkened room. Closing the door upon entering, the strike of a match is heard before an illuminating flame is brought to a nearby candle; its light exposing the holder's snow-white face.

Ocean blue eyes looked over the lit candle before turning around and lighting another; the light growing immense as it drove back the darkness. Within the fairly lit room, long hair cascade down to the base of the neck as the figure knelt down to their knees; staring up at a painting on the room's back wall before bowing its head low. A moment passed as everything seemed to grow silent before words were spoken from the owner's lips:

Everything that has happened to my fair kingdom has been most unexpected; that I would be here in need of a savior.

For an unknown evil has appeared to reap havoc on the land with its vile desires.

And I pray that the savior will drive back the beasts with his power, wisdom, and courage; for he will be victorious.

A lone figure, alone in a dark room blew out the candles before leaving; a painting depicting an event that happened long ago hung stationed on the back wall, of the great beast Ganon being sealed away by seven maidens and a hero in green holding the beast back with his sword.

Update (10/30/13): Since publishing, I looked it over a second time and patched it up; I guess that was why I didn't become satisfied in the first place. Hopefully anyone who read this will become satisfied as well.
