Welcome to my newest story, Bits of Happiness! I hope you enjoy it.

P.S. I will still be updating What If, though maybe not as regularly.

Once again, Harry and Hermione had sneaked off into an adjoining portion of the tent, discussing Earth-shattering propositions and the destruction of Voldemort. Leaving Ron, who was supposedly asleep, out of the most thrilling schemes of their life.

Well, Ron wasn't asleep, and, much to his annoyance, neither of them had realized that he might want to join in the plotting of saving the Wizarding world. So he stalked moodily under a flap of tent, into a sparsely-furnished area, with Harry and Hermione leaning over the single table, talking in whispers above the flickering candlelight.

If either of them had realized that they had a visitor, they made no sign of it. Ron cleared his throat and said, "Never have I ever seen such bad acting. Honestly, I knew you could tell I was awake."

"Not now, Ron," Hermione said exasperatedly.

"Never have I ever expected the two of you to save the world without me."

"Ron…" Harry started.

"Never have I ever thought you would regret taking me with you."

"Never have I ever said that I didn't want you here," said Harry, joining in.

"Never have I ever been as good as you."

"Never have I ever been better than you, Ron," Hermione countered, blushing furiously.

"Never have I ever missed that darn cat…"

"Never have I ever not missed that darn cat," Hermione said, a little tearfully.

"Never have I ever wanted to see the the Dursleys more," Harry put in, smiling slightly.

"Never have I ever wanted to see a puking pastille more…and that includes during Trewlawny's classes," Ron said, earning a few laughs.

"Never have I ever missed Ginny more."

"Never have I ever wished on more stars."

"Never have I ever wanted my mother fussing over me more than now."

"Never have I ever missed mushroom soup before now."

The comments just kept coming, and somehow they made the feelings of dread that perpetually occupied their chests loosen. It was just one of those random pieces of happiness that popped up in these dark times.

Love, Jemi
