Twenty Five Words
1. Chocolate
At that moment, Matt's theory was proven correct, Mello did taste like chocolate.
2. Beautiful
Matt would tell Mello that he was beautiful if he wasn't so sure he'd be shot (or worse) if he did.
3. Anger
Mello did not have anger issues, he just had to make up for all that anger Matt never showed.
4. Sleep
Sometimes, all he wanted was a little sleep, but he wouldn't get that if Mello had anything to say about it—which he always did.
5. Smart
Matt could be smart, he really could, but perhaps if he wasn't, Mello wouldn't hate him like he hated Near. Matt never did want to be L's successor anyways.
6. Crazy
People said he had to be crazy to keep caring about Mello as much as he did, but he didn't think he'd be able to not care even if he tried. Maybe he was just crazy.
7. Habit
Crawling into the red head's bed had become almost like a habit rather than a routine.
8. Dangerous
Matt didn't know what everyone was talking about, Mello sure didn't seem dangerous to him.
9. Fall
He always had to come running back to catch that damn red head.
10. Stars
Whenever Mello was gone for the night, he couldn't manage to sleep, but when the blonde came back, he knew that Matt would be right where he always was in this situation: up on the roof right above their window looking up at the stars.
11. Alright
Sometimes, when even the chocolate couldn't calm him down, Matt could make everything alright.
12. Broken
After L died, he almost looked broken. It made Matt feel a little broken too.
13. Drug
He couldn't tell which was more addicting: his cigarettes or Mello.
14. One
He really didn't see how anyone could consider Near better than Mello.
15. Breathe
From the first day they met, he never could figure out why it got harder to breathe when he got closer to that red head.
16. Burn
Matt thought he still looked just as beautiful with that burn as before but still remembered to keep himself from saying it because otherwise, his death would probably be ten times worse than it would have been had he said it before the burn.
17. Rain
Whenever Matt woke up on a rainy night, he could look out the window and see that insane blonde he decided to befriend standing outside staring up at the sky.
18. Goodbye
Mello couldn't bring himself to wake him up to tell him goodbye that night.
19. Alone
He woke up with a small moan to find that he was alone.
20. Changed
And when Matt tracked him down again in those stupid goggles, all he had said was "Hey
Mels," and Mello could already tell that nothing had changed.
21. Nothing
The day they met again, they picked up just where they'd left off, as if nothing had happened in the first place.
22. Every Time
Every time he saw him smile, he felt his face flush.
23. Regret
The moment Mello heard that first shot being fired, he realized just what he was about to lose.
24. Love
For a single second, he forgot why he agreed to do this, but then he remembered.
25. Over
And just like that, it was over, but he'd see Mello again, so it was ok.

Aw, that was kinda cute…in a sort of depressing way…
But that should be expected about my stories—er, most of my stories.
