Ruby and Victor. Victor and Ruby. A pairing that no one had really to happen ans yet, here they were, happily together.
There was only one problem with their relationship; Ruby liked to bite him. Victor had no problem with this (in fact, he quite enjoyed it) but Ruby worried constantly about it. After all, she was a werewolf. She was afraid that biting Victor would turn him into one too. She had never to know how this whole werewolf thing worked, but now she was scared. She had gotten used to her 'powers' and knew how to control it, but if she passed that onto someone else, they would become a monster too. She didn't want to inflict that pain onto anyone, especially not Victor.
But still, every time they were alone and things got heated, she ended up biting him. Until she couldn't take it any more.
"Victor, we have to break up." She said one morning.
Victor looked startled. "Have I done something wrong?"
"No, no, of course not. I'm just worried about hurting you." Victor looked confused. "Well, I bite you and in case you didn't know, I am a werewolf."
Victor smiled at her. "Ruby, I knew what I was getting myself into when I asked you out. If that turns me a werewolf, then so be it."
"Victor!" She exclaimed. "How can you say that? It's the most awful thing to be known as a monster.." She stopped as she realised that he had been known as a monster too.
"Ruby" he said softly. "I know what it's like to be a monster. Being with you, it's made me so happy and I wouldn't care if you did turn me."
"You could hurt someone." She whispered.
He got up and gave her a hug. "I could never hurt you."
"I thought the same about Peter." She had told him about Peter on that fateful day at the docks and she hadn't spoke of him since, so he knew she was scared.
"Have you spoke to your Grandmother about this?" Ruby shook her head. "Would you like me to do it?" He asked.
"Oh, Victor, you would do that for me?"
"I'd do anything for you." They both smiled at each other. "But you're coming with me!" She groaned but followed him out the door to Granny's.
They walked down the street hand in hand and only a few people stared at them. Their relationship has caused an uproar at first; Frankenstein and a werewolf?! But now, most people were used to them.
They walked into Granny's causing the bell to ring. Granny looked up and smiled at them; she had been surprisingly accepting of their relationship. They sat at a booth opposite each other and Granny came over to ask them what they wanted. Ruby ordered whiskey and Granny was immediately worried.
"Get out! Everyone out! The diner is shut until further notice!" She exclaimed. Everyone grumbled, but made their way out of the diner and Granny locked the door behind them.
"Ruby, what is going on with you?" It was clear that she was concerned.
Ruby gave Victor a look and he nodded. "Well, you see, the thing is" here he tried not to smirk "Ruby likes to bite me." Granny turned her head in shock as Ruby blushed bright red. "Yes and she's worried that it might create another werewolf problem in town."
Granny squeezed Ruby's hand sympathetically. "Ruby, honey, werewolves don't work that way. It's in your genes, that's why you're one. Biting someone won't do them any harm, or at least it definitely won't turn him. You have nothing to worry about, Victor will be just fine."
"Really?" Ruby asked and Granny nodded. Ruby leapt out of her and gave Granny a hug.
"Thank you!" She said. She let Granny go, pulled Victor up out of his seat and gave him a kiss. She unlocked the door and walked out with Victor, both with smiles on their faces.
"You are so getting it! I noticed that smirk!" She teased.
"Oh yeah" he replied "what's the worst you could do, bite me?!"
