Prologue: Awaking
Outside a Wing in St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Malady's and Injuries, a Healer and a trainee Healer were talking, "How long has she been here, Healer Smith?"
"Almost one week now, Dory."
"A Week! Hasn't anyone come to see her?"
"No, not yet. We're still trying to find out who she is or if she has family. We have put a notice in the Daily Prophet, The Quibbler and all the other smaller newspapers and magazines telling we have found her but no one has answered."
"What happened?"
"Nobody knows, Nareja Black found her in Knockturn Alley unconscious, buried in a bunch of rags, crates, grime, and muck."
"Is that why she is.... Wearing those clothes?" said Dory, glancing a look through the window to where the girl lay still unconscious.
The Healers continued to discuss the girl outside the door.

Wild laughter, Mom, Dad, NO Leave us alone! AAAHH No, stop! A scream tore from bruised and bleeding lips.
Somewhere outside the door someone said, "Did you hear that?" A door opened feet came running.
Mom, Dad. Someone touched her. She screamed, lavender eyes shot open and stared at the healers wildly.
"NO! Get away from me! Leave me alone!!" Hands pressed her down. She screamed again like a wild animal. She punched and scratched. "Leave me alone!" the girl screamed as she jumped out of bed, hands grabbed her, voices floated around in disconnected ways. Pain, fear. In her mind she registered the open door. Out, away, have to get away, she thought wildly. Hands still pulled her back. She kicked and bit, then was free. She leaped away from the two people trying to hurt her. The healers hurried after the girl.
They were sprinting down the steps to the main lobby, still yelling, "Stop her! Someone stop her!"

'This time father has gone way too far.' Thought a boy angrily as entering St. Mungo's. His parents had been fighting, again, but this time his father had cursed his mother, that was one reason he was here. The other was to get out of the house, he did not like his dad like that. He would have gone to a friend's house, if it weren't for the fact that he did not have any.
"SOMEONE CATCH THAT GIRL, STUPIFY!" a girl, covered in dirt with tangled, golden-brown, light Lavender eyes that stared wildly and unaware ,in a mucky brown colored short-shorts and the same colored tank-top, came hurtling out of the stairway, followed by two Haler's: Healer Smith and Trainee Healer Dory. The girl was almost at the exit when without thinking he stepped in her path and grabbed as she came hurtling at him. She screamed with fear and as if in pain. Her eyes were closed and she kicked and clawed at him.
"LET ME GO! LET-ME-GO! LET-"
"STUPIFY!" Smith yelled, the girl with wild eyes slumped against him with a groan. The Healers caught up to where the boy was holding the girl.
Between breathe the Healer Dory said, "Thank you, Mr.?
"Severus Snape."

Please R&R and remember to go easy this is my first attempt at doing this without Angel (Andie) (I have other stories under JilseponieAngel) Sorry about this... if I had continued writing the other way, I would have contradicted myself and proved myself wrong and wouldn't have made sense.
