Hey. Okay, so I had this in my folders. It was what I gave to the first five reviewers of All's Fair in Love and War back when that started. I felt like I just needed to put something new on here, so I give you Meeting Up. It's really, really short, I know. But it is only a one-shot.

This takes place before AFILAW. Like, a couple weeks before or something. Just four days after they arrived at the safe house. They've already run into the ghost from the safe-house that makes his appearance in The Reckoning. And, I think the title doesn't really fit it, so if you have another title that would work, let me know. :)

Disclaimer: Umm... I think I have established this in everything I post on FF... I'm not Kelley Armstrong.

We had been at the safe-house for four days now. We hadn't made a single plan. All we did was train, then do nothing. It was starting to rack on my nerves as I lied in bed, contemplating what was going on.

A soft rap on my door made me jump. "Who is it?" I called out.

"It's me, Simon," I heard. "Can I come in?"

"Sure," I said, hoping this was something important.

"Guess what," he said coming to sit with me on my bed.

"What?"

"I finally got my contacting spell to work and contacted Dad."

"Really? That's great! What did he say?"

"He was trapped by the Edison Group, but he managed to get away. I told him head for here and Andrew would find him."

"So, he is free?"

Simon nodded his head. "Yep. Him and Andrew should be arriving any minute."

"That is wonderful. Have you told everyone else yet?"

"I told Tori, but not Derek, yet."

"Why haven't you?"

"Because, I want to keep it as a surprise."

"Oh."

After Simon left my room, I went back to running through questions in my head. My mind was swarmed. What if Aunt Lauren was dead? What are they doing to her? What about Dad? Was he okay? Did he miss me? What lies was the Edison Group telling him? Did he believe any of them? … My mind wandered around these questions; I missed my dad and I was worried about my aunt and I was concerned about what was happening with the Edison Group.

I hadn't noticed I had started crying, until I saw a familiar dark mass move towards my bedside. "Chloe? Are you okay? Why are you crying?" Derek asked.

"I'm just worried about my aunt and my dad. Nothing important," I responded. "Okay," and with that he left the room.

I lay there waiting for Simon to come up and get me, or Tori yell for me to get my lazy ass downstairs because the guys' dad was here. It never occurred to me that Simon would just bring his dad straight to my room. I had been laying there and the next thing I know, there is a loud knock on my door.

"Can we come in?" I heard Simon's cheerful voice say.

"Yeah, come on," I said back. Simon opened the door to reveal a man who looked almost exactly like him except with black hair and was a little taller.

"Chloe, this is my dad. Dad, this is Chloe," he introduced us.

"Hi," I said, nodding feebly.

"Nice to meet you, Chloe. I'm Kit," said Simon's dad.

"Nice to meet you, too, Kit," responded back to him.

We had talked for a little while until my stomach started to growl. "Looks like you need some food. You two go on downstairs, I'll meet you there," Kit said with a bright smile.

Simon and I nodded, and head for the stairs. Just as we were about to hit the bottom step, Derek came rushing over to us. "Where is he?" he said.

"Who?" we asked in unison.

"Dad. I smelled him and I won't believe he is here until I see him," came his words between clenched teeth.

"Upstairs doing something," Simon responded.

"So he is here?"

"Yes. Now let's go eat, he will be down in a minute." And with that, all three of us walked off into the kitchen.

So... What'd you think? Love it? Hate it? Can't decide? Tell me in a review.
