A/N: Hi everyone! This story just kinda popped into my head tonight as I was watching " Even Stevens". Hope you enjoy! Oh, Btw, in my story Donny is a senior in High School and Louis and Tawny are freshman.

Disclaimer: No ownership to Even Stevens.

Donny's POV

I had been watching her for years. Ever since she was a little girl, she had been apart of my life. I may have been three years older than her, I still loved her.

I never did see what Louis had that I didn't. Sure, he was a comedian, but she was more of a serious girl. The kind I liked, even though all through high school I dated the blonde cheerleaders.

All I wanted was her, though. Her poetry memorized me. Her voice sweeter than sugar, hair darker than chocolate, lips redder than cherries. Man, I must be hungry, I thought.

I got off the couch and headed for the refrigerator. The door opened and in walked Louis. I nodded his way. Someone entered behind him. Even without seeing, I knew who it was. " Hi, Tawny."

Tawny's POV

" The project between you and your make-believe marriage partner will be for one month. You have received the papers, and I expect you to look over them while I call out the names of you and your partner. Chad Thorton and Felicita Morgan." One groaned while the other smiled. Cheerleader and conceited wannabe, perfect marriage, right.

I snickered. They got what they deserved. I looked over the paper. Finances, children…. this was going to be one boring project.

More names were being called. " Alan Twitty and Sarah Marshell." This was the only class Twitty and Louis and I had together. Oh joy. " Louis Stevens and Tawny Dean." I looked up at the sound of my name and remembered what was going on. I walked over to the make believe alter, said the dumb vows, all the time picturing the day when Donny and I would be standing there together. It would happen, I knew it. It was only a matter of when.

" Tawny, wanna come over this afternoon?" Louis asked.

"Huh?"

" My house, after school, you know, to start the project." Back to reality.

" Yeah, sure." Louis smiled. " Okay, meet me out by the flag pole."

I nodded. This afternoon, maybe I'd see him. Maybe I'd even get the guts to greet him.

School quickly ended as Home Ec was the second to last class of the day. I hurried to the flag pole. It took a minute or two, as it was so crowded. Louis wasn't there yet, so I took a sec to check my makeup. Quickly, I pulled out the powder mirror. Perfect, I thought.

Louis ran up just as Mrs. Stevens pulled up to the curb. Louis sat upfront while I sat behind him. After about ten minutes, we were at they're house.

" Louis, can I call my mom when we get there? I didn't tell her I'd be at your house this afternoon." Louis gave a mock surprise and remark about me not telling my mom anything as he walked through the door. Just my luck, Donny was there, though he was turned around. He greeted me and I walked up to Louis' room to get started on the project, purposely forgetting to use the phone. I couldn't call my mom. Not with Donny in the same room. Not now, Not ever.
