It was staring at her. She was sure of it. Even as it sat there being sliced into long strips by the wicked looking combat knife, she could feel its gaze on her. Even if it didn't have eyes. She twitched every time the slimy creature writhed wetly, letting out a sickening, squelching squeak as it had pieces of it sliced off.
Ashley was going to be sick.
"Leon, we aren't seriously going to eat that thing, are we?"
"You were the one complaining about being hungry."
"…Oh my god, you are serious."
The First Daughter scrunched up her face in an attempt to get across to Leon just how horrible his idea was. Leon ignored her. Quite pointedly, in fact. He continued to slice up their supposed meal as though she wasn't there.
Ashley had to force herself to swallow the enormous lump that had formed in her throat. And while all this went on, she could swear that there was a little voice in her head screaming "CANIBALS! CANIBALS!"
