A Merry Little Christmas
She saw him sitting in a leather chair by the fireplace. He seemed sad.
It was Christmas break; she thought he should be happy to go home. Then again, Daphne remembered that Theodore Nott's father was in Azkaban and his mother was dead. He wouldn't be returning home.
After some thought, Daphne decided to stay with him over the holidays; everyone deserved some holiday cheer.
She arranged for tea to be brought to the common room.
"Merry Christmas, Theo," she said, holding out a cup to him.
Theo looked up at her. He took the cup gently. "Merry Christmas."
Daphne smiled.
