Disclaimer: I don't own Wicked. I never will. I promise.
AN: I wrote this for Sherlockian54 because they honestly made my day the other day. Well, first they confused me. And then someone explained it better, and I was really happy. So, thanks! I'd also like to mention my Christi for talking to me more in the past few days than anyone has ever before. Thanks to you too!
The Tiggular family was sitting in their living room. Each was engaged in their own separate world when there was a knock on the door. Fiyero, knowing who it was, stood to answer it.
"Hello, Igajuv!" he greeted the Bear as he opened the door. Marka was hiding behind her mother, peeping her head out to look at Fiyero. "Marka, Peluna is in the living room." Marka sprinted past the adults to find her friend.
"Igajuv, thanks for doing this." Fiyero said under his breath to the Bear, "It's been so long." The pair walked back to the living room. Elphaba was watching her child and the Bear Cub sat on the ground. The child's sky blue dress matched her eyes almost perfectly, and her long raven hair made them pop even more.
"Hello, Elphaba," Igajuv sat on the couch next to the woman and joined her in watching the children. Fiyero quietly climbed the stairs, unnoticed by the four girls.
"How has Marka been?" Elphaba asked Igajuv.
"She's an angel. Always has been. What about Peluna?"
"She starts school next fall. Is it bad that I'm honestly not that upset by this?"
"No. I felt the same way!"
Just then, Fiyero came back down the stairs, carrying a small packed bag. "Peluna, how would you like to spend the night with Marka?" As expected, both Marka and Peluna's eyes lit up with excitement.
"Really, Daddy?" Peluna squealed.
"Really, Princess."
Igajuv stood, sensing that the children would drag them home otherwise. "Okay, children. You both ready to go?" Marka and Peluna both nodded, their matching dark hair bouncing with the force of their heads. The mother Bear took Peluna's bag from Fiyero and led both children out the door. "Bye, Momma! Bye, Daddy!" Peluna called over her shoulder.
After closing the door, Fiyero turned to see his wife in the same position she'd been in when the Bears had shown up, an eyebrow raised. "You didn't tell me that Peluna was spending the night with them."
"It was meant to be a surprise."
"And Peluna was very surprised. Why couldn't I know?"
"Because it was a surprise for both of you."
Elphaba was puzzled. "How does Peluna having a sleepover relate to me?"
"Because it's been much too long since we've spent time alone."
Her eyes widened in realization. "You mean-?"
"Uh-huh. So, what do you wish to do, my queen?"
"...We could go upstairs?"
"Perfect." And with that, the husband picked up the wife, carrying her up the stairs, because it had been so long.
