Chapter 1: Prolog
"Hello?" I answered my phone. It was about four in the morning, and i had school today.
"is this Allen Walker?" the man on the other side asked me.
"Yes, how may i help you?" I answered.
"You are head of the forensics department correct?" he asked.
"That'd be me." I answered. Great it was from the police, i just loved getting these calls. especially at four in the morning.
"Hello, i am Ross Kareu. I'm with the CSI. We were wondering if you could fly out and help us out with a certain... interesting case." Ross said to me.
"Interesting? wanna give me the 411 or are you going to leave me in anticipation?" i said, i was now awake.
"well, there has been a string f murder cases her in Japan, i'm sure you've heard of it. there's already been three deaths. and i say interesting because, well,the murderer has an interesting way of killing them. it seems like he kidnaps them, and tortures them. But, theres a cut for every day they were missing. Also, the last cut is always a laceration. and their heart always has the initials A.C carved in it." Ross finishes.
"Sounds like a bit too much work for your average murderer..." i said. "Yeah, when do i fly out?" i ask.
"We'll someone to get you in the morning at dawn."
Kanda's POV
This morning i was awoken by an annoying sound of someone at my door.
"What the hell do you want?" i ask.
"Kanda Yuu Head Detective from the Bureau of public safety. Head Detective Kujomori of the Japanese national Guard has called upon you. Here is the case file." A man in black handed me a file, i looked over it, and i was very confused.
"Can it really be that hard to find a cut a strange person?" I asked myself. "When do i fly out?" i ask.
"Right now." I nodded and went to get my suitcase, it was always packed just in case this happened. And with those simple words, i was in a car going to another stupid air port.
Japanese National Guard headquarters.
Allen POV
I was sitting in the head's office when the door opened and out came a beautiful man, probably a bit older than me, but still in the same situation i'm in.
"Are you here for that wacko case?" the male asked.
"Yes. I'm Allen Walker Head of the Forensics in America." I said.
"Kanda Yuu Head Detective for the Bureau of public safety. How old are you anyway, kid?" Kanda asked.
"I could ask the same of you, but i'm 15, since you're so interested in it." I was starting to get unprofessional. Oh well, he seemed like a prick anyway.
"I'm 15 as well, smart guy, but i'll be 16 next month." Kanda replied.
"That sucks, you'll have to spend your birthday over here." I said.
"Probably." he said.
An eerie silence fell over the room.
"Good day gentlemen." a man walked in. "Allen walker, from Forensics. Kanda Yuu, Head Detective. I am Kujomori, please forgive me for sending you out on such short notice. Anyway, I assume you were given the rundown on what's happening here?" he asked, we nodded. "Good, you two will need to get along because you guys will be partners from this day on." he said with a smile.
Kanda glared, I just smiled. "I look forward to working with you Kanda Yuu." I stood up and bowed.
"Yeah." he also bowed his head.
