A/N this is just a short little story I came up with. Hope you guys enjoy! Might I suggest listening to "Reverie" by Debussy. That is the song I had in mind.
"Daddy! Look!" I cried as my fingers ran across the piano keys.
"Nessie…..how did you learn to play the piano?" he asked sitting next to me.
"I've been watching you." I replied as my song came to a close.
"Was that for someone special?" he asked.
"Jacob." I replied as I started again.
"Has he heard it yet?" he asked while watching my fingers carefully.
"I just finished it today." I said looking at him.
"And I love it!" came a husky voice from the door.
"JACOB!" I exclaimed as I jumped up. I ran over to him and wrapped my arms around his waist. He kissed the top of my head and sighed. I looked at him with a questioning look.
"I can't wait for our first date." He explained.
"oh." I said looking at daddy.
"No way. Not yet." He said shaking his head.
"Dad! I'm almost as old as any other 16 year old." I complained.
"But he's a dog." He said in disgust.
"But I love him and he loves me."
"Edward. I'll take good care of her. Promise. 'Sides…..there is absolutely no way around this one." Jacob said, looking a little smug.
"No." still being stubborn, huh?
"UGH!!!! MOMMY!!!!!" I yelled.
"Yes?" she said coming up the stairs.
"Can I go on my first date with Jacob yet?" I asked as cutely as I could.
"What did you father say?" she asked looking at daddy. I walked over to her and put my hand on her cheek, showing all that had happened.
"Well, I guess that would be just fine, honey. Have her home by 10, Jacob."
"YES!!!! Thank you mom!!!!" I cried giving her a hug.
"Bella!" daddy said looking at her confused.
"Edward, she's right. She's practically 16." My mom said placing her hand on his knee.
"I don't care." He said pushing her away.
"Edward….we need to let her go." And by the look on his face, I knew we just won.
