"Father? Can you tell me the story?" Amane Bakura-Ishtar was ready for bed.
"Once upon a time, there were three bears..." Ryou said.
"No silly!" She giggled. "The story of how you became my father," She looked at Ryou. "And how you became my daddy!" She turned to Malik, sitting on the other side of the bed.
"But you've heard several times already!" Malik said.
"It's my favorite!"
"Oh, alright. But you have to help tell it this time. I have a cousin. And even though she's distant on the family tree, she always seemed as close as a sister. And one day..." Ryou left it hanging.
"She found out she was pregnant with me! And though she was happy about that, she knew she couldn't support a baby."
"So she called friends and family members. And when she called Ryou and I, we said yes immediately."
"Because you wanted a child of your own, but men can't have babies!"
"Right! And so the week before you were born, we flew all the way up to Britain to meet your birth-mother, my cousin Amy."
"And the second we saw you at the hospital, we knew you were a gift from the gods themselves."
"Because I have white hair and faded lavender eyes. And so you adopted me, naming me Amane Ishizu Bakura-Ishtar after your sisters, especially Amane because she died a long time ago."
"Yep! And we brought you back to Japan."
"And now I live with you! And sometimes Amy sends me things and visits me with my birth brother, who two years old, because now she can support children! But I live with you because she knows I'll always be safe and happy with you! And Ishizu spoils me rotten, because I'm named after her!"
"And we're living happily ever after."
Ryou gave her a good night kiss, she got a hug from Malik, and they left. Tomorrow, they would head back into a world of gay lovers and haters, but for now, they were safe and happy, in a world all their own.

Back in Amane's room, the Thief King sat on her windowsill, watching her. He protected this child, from both the shadow monsters of night, and human monsters of day. It was, in a way, a favor to his old host. But it was also because wasn't ready to accept her parents for loving each other, and her, because she and her friends had something so rare, the world no long believed in it's existence. Magic.
This child truly was a gift from the gods.
Breakline.
The thief just gave me an idea. I'm going to write a fanfic about the children of our Yu-Gi-Oh friends and post it! It'll be multi chapter, and probably incredibly cheesy, but as my science teacher says, if there's one thing people love (especially teens) it's cheese!
And holy cow, I just wrote an angstshipping fic. My first Yaoi fic! Well...Shonen ai, really, but...
Well, now you've read, time to review!
