Stars in the Sky

Stupid Monday. I hate Mondays. And the fact it's cold, foggy, and wet; that doesn't help either. I hardly doubt it could get any wors—

"Argh!" Hermione cried out after being hit with water, as a car drove into a puddle. I was wrong. It did get worse. Now I'm all wet.

Hermione continued down the street to her flat ranting and raving about her horrible day in her head. At occasion she would start mumbling to herself, and the passerby would give her odd looks.

"Alright. Table set, check. Candles lit, check. Dinner in the oven, check. Music turned on low, check." The sexiest man in the world, check. Draco smirked to himself. He was getting ready for a special evening. This was going to change the rest of his life. Tonight was going to be the night.

Hermione stomped up the steps to her flat and put the key in the lock. Turned on the light and headed straight to the bathroom. Before she could get into the tub and clicking noise came from the bathroom window. Hermione smiled to herself before letting the owl in. The note read:

My Beautiful,

I know it is Monday, but I wonder if you would join me for dinner at the mansion tonight?

It would make my day. Please arrive around seven.

I Love You,

Your Dragon

Hermione smiled at her pet name she had given him, and put the note on the counter. She proceeded to get in the tub and wash up using her favorite scented body wash, it smelled of vanilla. She stepped out and dried her hair magically, giving it a soft frizzless curl. She smiled at her reflection as she put on her cocktail dress, you should always dress properly when you go to the Manor you never know what he will dream up. She grabbed her purse and apparated to his home.

Draco paced the living room, looking at his watch every two minutes. When finally, Hermione appeared looking beautiful as ever. She smiled at him and his heart felt like it was soaring. (A/N Sorry for the cheese)

"Milady, would you accompany me to the dining room for a glass of wine?"

"Of course, I would be delighted Draco." They proceeded to the dining room, where Hermione looked around and asked aloud,"Draco, why are candles lit?"

"Oh, I just thought you could use a romantic night," he responded with a smile.

The two ate and talked the night away, both forgetting work in the morning. When it got to be around nine-thirty, Draco took Hermione's hand and led her outside to the little rose garden. They sat for awhile, just enjoying each others prescence, when Draco said, "Look up Mione." She did, and etched into the sky were the words,

Marry Me?

Hermione looked back at Draco to find him on his knee, with a beautiful ring with white gold and sapphires surrounding one rather large diamond. Tears fell from her eyes as she nodded. She threw herself onto him and hugged him. They sat in silence looking at the stars.

Well, Mondays aren't that bad after all. Hermione thought with a smile.
