Seething in frustration, Logan rounded another corner, nearly crashing into a wall. Catching himself once more, he took off down the hall, following the trail of wanton destruction. Spotting his target, launched forward and scooped up his quarry.
"Gotcha, you little - Shit."
A burst of red light hit the ceiling, and bits of plaster and concrete rained down on his head.
"Godamn it Scott," Wolverine growled, reaching down to pick up the discarded red shades, "How many times have I told you to keep these on? Somebody's going to get hurt."
Turning back down the hall, he strode into what looked like it had been a living room at some point. He set Summers down to run off towards the center of the room, which was now in shambles.
And filled with toddlers.
It was raining in the corner, Storm was still crying about earlier, when Scott had taken his glasses off the first time. Nightcrawler was hanging from the ceiling fan, reaching down every few seconds to try to pull Shadowcat's hair. She was, in turn, trying to grab his tail. The couch was still soaking wet from when Iceman had decided to freeze it and then get into a fist fight with Pyro, and Beast was sitting in a corner with Jean, trying to braid her hair while she held him upside down in the air. Several of the Avengers were also scattered about; Thor crying off to the side, not knowing where he was or where his brother had gone, and Bruce was sitting quietly next to him, patting his back awkwardly, and staring around the room in unease. Natasha, Clint and Steve had disappeared with Coulson an hour ago, as he lead them into the kitchen by their hands (except Steve, whom he had managed to balance on his hip). Logan was pretty sure Fury was still trying to coax Rogue out of her room, and no one even knew where Tony had gone.
Sighing, he covered his face with his hands. Where was Charles when you needed him? He swore the man had been in the room when the device had exploded, but he had no idea where he had gone.
Until about two hours ago, I was teaching History in fifth period, and the bell was about to ring. I was going to go see the Professor in the X chamber to watch the students try the newest settings.
Now I'm was running around the mansion with one guy wearing an eye patch and another wearing a suit, frantically trying to collect small children before they burn down the school.
He opened his eyes for a moment as the building shivered, and glared at the ceiling.
This is completely Stark's fault.
