It was you
Bellatrix Black always sat by the lake after curfew when something was on her mind. She always had. Always will, maybe.
Her idiot of a cousin, Sirius, was annoying her to no end. She looked around where she was sitting and saw her friend coming. This was her only friend.
He was someone that couldn't talk back, but would listen to her every worry and problem. He walked over and sat beside her. She reached over and stroked his head, and he licked her hand in return.
He looked up at her with understanding eyes, as if to say 'what is it this time?' She sighed.
'Its my idiot of a cousin, he completely embarrassed me in front of loads of people.' She lay down, and closed her eyes. Behind her, that idiot of a cousin had taken the place of the dog, that Bella confided in. And leant down so their faces were inches apart.
'I'm sorry.' He whispered into her ear.
Her eyes fluttered open. She looked into those big brown understanding eyes, 'It was you,' she breathed
'What was me?'
'That whole time, it was you.'
Sirius understood now and nodded. She didn't ask how, or why, she didn't speak at all.
No more words were said, there didn't need to be.
