New Evidence Found in Fourth Kidnapping
Another victim has been reported in the mysterious string of kidnappings that has devastated the mountain town of Dollyville, Colorado. A fourth ram yearling disappeared late Tuesday as he and his parents made way to Lambert, a small farming village located about a mile west of Dollyville.
"He was right behind us," Ram Pastor stated when interviewed by a member of our staff. "We stopped to ask for directions, and the next thing we knew, he was gone."
"How could such a baa-d thing happen to us?" exclaimed Ewe Pastor, who was also quite distraught. "We've never done a misdeed in our lives!"
When questioned further on the subject, it was revealed by the parents of young Kid Pastor that they had planned a picnic in Lambert with family and found themselves diverted from the forest path by a cropping of greens which they then stopped to gather. Upon finishing their harvest, it was apparent to the Pastors that they had lost their way and would need assistance in finding both their destination and a way back to Dollyville.
After wandering for several minutes, the Pastors claim, they came upon an elderly toad sitting near the bridge that connects the two townships. The toad, later identified by citizens of Dollyville as Troll Patterson, was reluctant to answer our questions.
"Mr. Patterson," said Ram Pastor, "Wasn't at all agreeable at first. We were simply asking for directions, and he claimed he was going to eat us!"
"Of course, we didn't believe him," Ewe Pastor elaborated, as her husband seemed unwilling to continue further. "He was just a lonely old toad. I talked him up a bit, and he directed me across the bridge without any trouble at all."
The exact moment of disappearance was pinpointed as just before the Pastor's arrival at Troll Patterson's bridge.
"Kid was running on ahead," Ewe admitted. "We were all alone, I didn't think anything would happen."
When asked exactly what had transpired between the time of Kid's disappearance and the realization that he was missing, Ram Pastor became exasperated.
"Absolutely nothing! We met the toad at the bridge and I told him I'd knock his block off if he didn't let us pass, and he let us go, right proper," he said.
After Ram Pastor's confession of threatening Troll Patterson, police and detectives turned their sights on the toad and again attempted to conduct an interview. Troll Patterson refused a second time and was taken in for questioning. The content of his interview has not been released to the press, but Troll Patterson was released yesterday evening.
According to reliable witnesses, Troll Patterson approached the chief investigator of the Pastor case with a set of yearling hooves early this afternoon. He claimed to have found the hooves while gathering berries in the forest near-by his home. They have since been identified as those of Kid Pastor, much to the despair of both Ewe and Ram Pastor, and further investigation is pending.
