Letters to Santa:
Hermione was watching her three children fight over who got to sit the cookies out for Santa.
"I get to."
"No I get to."
She stood up. "How about Bliss puts out the cookies, and, Darian, you can put out the milk."
Hope (12 years old) no longer believed in Santa Claus so she stood next to her mom smiling at her younger siblings.
Bliss and Darian rushed to do what she told them.
Once everything was set out Hermione said "Get upstairs and go to sleep so Santa will come."
"But can't you read us The Night before Christmas?"
"Mommy, we have to write letters to Santa," shrieked (6 years old) Bliss.
"Oh, alright." Hermione pulled out a box of crayons and two sheets of red construction paper.
She helped the two little kids write their letters.
Then little Darian (3 years old) said. "You have to write one too or else Santa won't know what you want."
Hermione smiled and grabbed a purple crayon.
Dear Santa,
My kids wanted me to write you a letter of the things I want. And all I want for Christmas is you.
Love,
Hermione
She folded up her letter and promised the kids she'd leave them out for Santa to see then tucked them into bed.
She collapsed on the couch. Having two little kids and an almost teenager had definitely worn her out.
She left the letters next to the Christmas tree before slipping upstairs to fall asleep.
Hermione woke up a few hours later to see her husband leaning over her. "Merry Christmas, love. Here's your present." He motioned to himself.
"It's just what I wanted. Thank you." She pulled him down onto the bed. It was a Christmas miracle.
Her husband, Draco Malfoy, hadn't been home for several weeks. But now he was home from his business trip and this was the best Christmas she'd ever had. She's gotten everything she wished for.
AN: Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Please review it's like a Christmas present.
