He stood on the balcony over looking the ocean, before turning to look up at the stars in the night sky.
Tiny pinpricks in a large black quilt...
And one shined for every person that had died.
Parna...
He lowered his head and shook it sadly. Taking a coin out of his pocket, he looked it over carefully, before making a wish on it and tossing it as far as he could into the ocean.
The splash couldn't be heard, but he knew it was there.
And with that last simple wish, Carson Beckett turned and walked back on inside.
