Riku woke up one morning to see his younger sister Sara-chan sitting on the bed next to him, waiting for him to wake from his heavy slumber. Once awake he blinked once, twice, and a third time to make sure he was seeing correctly. "What're you doing in my room so early on a Saturday?" He asked annoyed. " Onii-Chan, you're awake!" She exclaimed gleefully. "Yeah no thanks to you."
He exhaled rolling his eyes. He dragged himself out of bed and walked groggily to the bathroom. Once he got dressed and cleaned up, he walked back to his bedroom to find his sister still on his bed " Okay what do you want now?" He asked getting tired of his sister and her nonsense. " Well since it's Saturday... I was hoping that you could take me to the mall." "Please?" She whined.
Since he was too tired to argue he just went along with it "Fine." Her face lit up like a Christmas tree "Yay!" Her happy expression suddenly turned into a sad one " No one's taken me shopping since mom and dad--" she was interrupted when Riku embraced her " it's okay they may be gone in physical form but they'll always be here in spirit okay?" He hoped that would calm her. It had been almost three years since their parents had died, their death took a toll on both of them but it was worse for Sara.
Even though the toll on her was worse, Riku was also greatly affected by their deaths, and whenever someone brought it up he felt a deep sense sadness because they were gone and he'd never see them again. " Okay enough sulking or we'll never make it to the store okay?" His sister was silent for a minute then said " Okay."
That is where I will end this story for today but I'll post more later
