On the run
Chapter one:
Death
I was running as fast as I could. My family just told me to run as fast as i could, even though i was the weakest, least important and youngest member of the house we lived in and yet told ME to run. I stormed out of the house and into the darkness of the oak forest and buried my whole body in brown leave, mud and small twigs. There was no way the mysterious people who were invading my home would be able to find me, so i waited for the small silhouetted people to disappear so i could return to my family who are risking their lives for me at that very moment. The only problem was that the silhouetted people never went back to where they came from, instead they lit fires on blanks of dry wood and bottles of wine and they they threw it all onto my wooden home. I heard scream of pain and horror and the fire spreading to the inside of the house. My wonderful loving home became a beacon in the dark. Drips of water were falling of my chin and into the cold ground below me. I stayed silent for as long s i possible could and then suddenly a silhouetted man came out of no where and into the forest i was hiding in. All i could hear and see was the burning remains of my home, family and the man who was slowly coming closer to where i laid.
The man was tall and skinny, he carried long rifels that were taller than me. Suddenly, across the field came a boy who was dressed smartly shouting,"Papa, papa?" I was terrified, i had no idea what do to do or when to do what ever i had thought of. My heart was pounding and i kept thinking to myself "why haven't they heard my heart yet, it's so loud..." and i could barely breath, my mind was fuzzy and all i wanted was to go home with my family and live a peaceful life.
"Papa, there is a house burning. Should we not help those who are inside?" said the smartly dressed boy.
"Nay ma lad, let'em burn, it's what they deserve." said the man in a cruel voice, almost like he knows that i am here.
I was stunned at what he said to the boy, my family and I had done nothing wrong in our whole lives. We didn't deserve to die, and specially not in this way. We were normal farmer who farmed crops for the village nearby. We were just normal people who live wonderful normal lives.
