Summary: What if Vastra had overheard the conversation between Jenny and Clara? ( Episode 08x01 Deep breath)
Vastra strode down the the main hallway of 13 Paternoster row searching for jenny frantically.
"Where has she got to now" Vastra whispered quietly now pacing the uppermost floors of the house. She'd checked her wife's room already but there was still no sign of her so fustrated and slightly worried she began to decend the stairs down into the center of the house.
As Vastra rounded the corner to take the last flight of stairs to the ground floor she stopped.
Jenny's voice could be heard softly talking away to Clara and not wanting to intrude on the pair she simply crept up to the door and listened. Her reptilian hearing gave her superior listing skills to those of her ap- human and because of this she may as well have been in the room with them.
At that very moment clara's question caught her attention and she leant closer to the door.
Clara began to talk "If... if Vastra changed, if she was different, if she was'nt the person that... you liked."
To Vastra surprise Jenny cut her off "I dont like her Ma'am." ... "I love her and as to different, well, she's a lizard."
Vastra blinked and suddenly could feel a warmth rush across her cold scaley cheeks and as she often did for her love, her smiled.
With that Vastra turned still grinning like a school girl and walked briskly down the hall to find strax. She loved Jenny with all her heart and this, well this had made her love her all the more.
