One day Lorelai is working behind the desk at the Independence Inn when Mia walk's in with a baby in her arm's and a bag on her shoulder and Lorelai look's up.
Lorelai gasps and walk's over to her ''hey Mia whose...whose this little one she's a doll?'' Lorelai asks her
''this is my granddaughter Rory she's my son's little one he got the call to go to war today so I just had to go and meet him to get her while he goes to the airport and I will be riasing her now.'' Mia tells her
''aww can I hold her?'' Lorelai asks her
''sure baby you can keep your eye on her for a for a little while while I do some things around this place.'' Mia tells her
''okay.'' Lorelai says and gently takes the baby
'''awww precious Hi bubby how old is she?'' Lorelai asks Mia
''5 months.'' Mia tells her
''aww.'' Lorelai smiles and holds Rory close and bring's her over to the couch and sit's down with her and gently sits her on her lap and look's at her.
''I think you have my eye's and that we are going to be the best of friends I love you.'' she says to the baby and smiles at her and kisses her head
the baby smiles back at her and chew's on her hand.
Lorelai look's up and see's Luke come come into the Inn and see's him look around before he spot's her.
''Hi she says sweetly
''hey sweetie.'' he says and comes over to her and kisses her lovingly and sit's down next to her
''oh so whose...whose this?'' he asks her
''oh this is Mia's granddaughter isn't she cute?'' Lorelai asks him
''yea she is so how old is she?'' he asks her
''5 month's.'' Lorelai tells him
''oh so where's her dad is um Mia raising her now?'' Luke asks her
''he got sent oversea's to war and yea look's like she is now but I'm going to be here and be around to help her maybe Rory and I will form a mother-daughter like bond and be the best of friend's I'm already getting attached to her and I think she's getting attached to me.'' Lorelai tells him
''Rory?'' he asks her
''yea the baby that's her name.'' Lorelai tells him
''oh.'' he says
