Bores. The word can be interpreted in two ways. Firstly, it can be used to define what the students feel while the teacher speaks in a monotone. It can also be defined as the process o digging a hole in the ground.
Bores. The word itself fills me with a feeling of dread. It usually entails the beginning of a very tedious and singularly mind-numbing class of chemistry. There are many different kinds of things which bore people, people themselves, movies, books, studies and the list goes on and on.
Bores can be potentially dangerous. My friends agree with me. We are often diagnosed with 'boringcitis' a very harmful disease. It effects the neurological system and causes decreased awareness os surroundings, especially loss of sound and interest. It causes the left side of the brain, which is responsible for physical activities and attention span to slow down. MRI scans and other extensive tests have showm increased activity in the right side of the brain, which is known to control creative thoughts, during the time period the patient suffers from 'boringcitis'. Another side effect of 'boringcitis' is yawning. This side effect causes a myriad of problems to the patient if the side-effect is noticed.
Millions of people suffer from 'boringcitis' every year. It causes millions of dollars of loss to IT companies whose employees suffer from 'boringcitis'. Employees suffering from 'boringcitis' often fall asleep on the job or during important meetings. Bored employees sometimes end up doing mischief which draws from their employer a heavy reprimand or a 'please leave us ASAP' note. This creates in the employees what I like to call post-boringcitis or otherwise known as the take-revenge-on-whoever-has-wronged-me syndrome. This of course leads to other problems.
Students suffering from 'boringcitis' feel what they describe as a floaty feeling. In a survey I conducted it was found that most students afflicted with 'boringcitis' ended up in the Principal's Office.
They described the whole thing as follows, " I was just sitting in my classroom, getting bored and totally not paying attention to what the teacher was saying. Mrs Rahman kept going on about something, probably Greek now that I think about it. One moment she was on the platform looking like a carp and the next moment I was being jerked out of my seat and daze and was heading to the Principal' s Office."
It is clear from the above excerpt from my report on Boringcitis, that the above student was suffering from 'boringcitis'.
'Boringcitis' also leads to some serious consequences. People in their free time do nothing god. Bored people who also suffer from chronic depression, may start thinking too much into things, get more depressed, give up on life and commit suicide. A moments reflection for those who haveā¦.the only way to prevent this is to keep people busy.
I have also come up with the idea of opening boringcitis centres for people suffering from boringcitis and an 'Unboringcitis 'centre to remove boringcitis completely from the body of the patient. Another way to cure this is perhaps a good dose of entertainment or an injecton of laughter.
Boringcitis is not as bad as I have made it out to be. If people were not bored we would not have many of the inventions we have today. Only bored artists could have come up with the art they have come up with.
In the near future I plan to carry out extensive research on whether people can die of boringcitis or whether it also causes loss of brain cells. However, I can say with full confidence that if the person suffering from boringcitis is caught by the wrong person, it will lead to the loss of self respect.
