However, I shortened it down because the list of quotes and items we had to include was ridiculous, so it'll be just the story themes. Also, I'm sorry for any miss-spelled words or grammar mistakes.

It was raining in Death City. Liz thought it was impossible, since Death City was in the middle of the dessert, but every now and again it would surprise her by raining. Normally when she had planned a day out with her friends.
Liz had been wondering around the park when it had started to rain. She leaned against the graffiti stained wall while looking up at the sky. It had turned a horrible grey colour, like smoke. Sighing, Liz closed her eyes.
It had been a day like this when her mother had left her and Patty. Liz could still picture her face. Long, blonde hair and kind brown eyes. Unfortunately, her mother's eyes had lost their kindness when her father left them. Her mother had tried to pick up odd jobs around the city, but eventually was unable to pay the bills. She had turned to alcohol to deal with the stress of almost losing the house before leaving Liz and Patty to fend for themselves.
"Now, Liz, take good care of your sister, Ill be back soon baby." She had said kissing them both on the forehead whilst almost crying.
"Mommy, where are you going?" Liz had asked, totally oblivious.
"Just out, sweetie. Good bye, ill be back as soon as possible" Her mother was already out of the door. Liz and Patty had waited for her to return, but she never did. Liz assumed she had either committed suicide or just decided to start over with her life.
Slowly Liz opened her eyes. It had stopped raining. Liz checked her watch. She had almost been gone for an hour and half! She made her way back home, to where Kid and Patty had been awaiting her return. Kid smiled at her and Patty hugged her hard. Liz looked at them.
This is where I belong, thought Liz.
