Chapter One: A New Rival

It was around noon time when a familiar Hachi Go was parked at the local diner in Shin Myogi. "Ahhh! This is soo awesome! Ever since I've got that turbo installed on my Hachi Go…."

Takumi Fujiwara who was standing next to Itsuki and listening to him go on about how much he's "improved" since the turbo was installed was simply sipping his soda pretending to listen. "Still…You need to get new tires…The suspension really needs tuning…" Takumi said quietly to himself.

"Hey! Takumi! You hear that!" Itsuki yelled as Takumi listened carefully.

There was no doubt about it. It was the sound of tires screeching around the corner. This caught Takumi's attention as he threw out his soda and looked around the corner.

A black car was leading a familiar black R32 around the corner and zoomed past Itsuki and Takumi. "What! It's Nazakato!" Both of them recognized the car. It belongs to none other than Takeshi Nazakato leader of the Myogi Night Kids. "Did you see that other car?" Itsuki said with joy. "Come 'on Itsuki follow them…" Takumi quickly said.

Moments later….

As the Hachi Go went along the road Takumi quickly spotted the two cars parked close to each other at a rest stop. Nazakato was standing next to his car while the other driver's face was covered by the hood of his car. "Itski… There they are, pull over..."

Takumi spotted Nazakato as the Hachi Go came to a stop and looked at him. Nazakato too spotted Takumi and nodded. He no longer held a grudge against Takumi but now has nothing but respect for the young driver of the Hachi Roku.

Without giving Nazakato anytime to say anything Itsuki jumped out of the car and walked up to the other driver's face. "Hey you!" Itsuki said in an optimistic tone. "I bet that old beat up car of yours can't beat my Hachi Go on the down hill!"

"Itski you---"Takumi said. "Don't worry Takumi I'll be fine!" Itsuki said cutting him off.

"Hey Fujiwara sorry to skip the formalities… But who is this guy?" Nazakato asked Takumi as he approached. "It's me! Itsuki! And I want to challenge your friend here!"

Nazakato smirked at Itsuki. "Hey! Shu! This kid here wants to race you!" The person didn't budge. "Hey! Shu! You heard me? This---"Nazakato stopped as the guy backed off and closed the hood of his car. "Yea I heard you Takeshi…"

The young man who was about twenty-one or so and he had short black hair. "Hey there… My name's Shu. And you are?" He said as he extended his hand to Itsuki.

Itsuki growled and yelled out, "The name's Itsuki Takeuchi! Member of the Akina Speed Stars! And I'm here to challenge you to a race!" Shu quickly took back his hand and nodded. "A race? Fine then… I accept your challenge Itsuki of the Speed Stars!"

Nazakato then shook his head. "Here we go..." He said in disbelief. Takumi sighed. "You sure bout this Itsuki?" All he gave was a nod.

He then backed away and watched as Nazakato began the race.

"OK! On my mark!" Nazakato said in front of the two cars.

"5….4…3…2…1… GO!" Nazakatosaid as he brought down his hand.

"HAHA! Let's go!" Itsuki said as he punched the accelerator. "Hmph I'll show you... Even if you have a turbo..." Shu said as he too hit the gas.

Both cars sped off with the Hachi Go in the lead while Itsuki's screaming and yelling could be heard for miles.

Takumi then went over to Nazakato. "Long time no see." He felt a little weird since they hadn't really had a chance to speak with each other for awhile now. "Same here." Nazakato replied. "Hey... What car is your friend there driving by the way? And... Who exactly is he?" Takumi asked wanting toget to the point.
