Master Spark Burnt Out?

Prologue

-Forest of Magic, clearing-

"Hahaha!" I laughed for what seemed like the fifth time that day. Man! I love my mini-Hakkero! It's just so fun to blast fairies at close range!

"No! Wait! Please, spare us! We won't hurt you again for now!" a stray fairy yelled. Eh, whats one fairy getting away if they don't bother me for the time being... all I want right now is just a little bag of power pickups. As I turn back to the larger group of fairies, they all shiver in fear. Probably because they don't want to get blasted again. I point my mini-Hakkero towards the group of fairies, I shout

"Love sign: MASTER SPARK!" As I do, I wait for the kickback of my trademark laser. However, I just stood there, waiting for something to happen. "W-wha...? C'mon! Master Spark! Master Spark! MASTER SPARK!" I kept yelling over and over again. Nothing happens except a little puff of smoke coming out of the front of my mini-magic reactor each time I shout the name.

"I-is it over yet? I-i want it to be over now. D-did a puff of smoke just come out of that?" I could hear that coming from the group of the fairies in front of me. I heard a "Quick! Run away!", then they all flew at speeds that I thought would not be possible for little fairies.

I took a look at my hakkero and what I saw confused me. In big white letters, it said 'EMPTY, PLEASE RECHARGE'. To say I was stunned would be an understatement. I was shocked. "NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" I yelled up to the sky as I held the sides of my head. 'No, this can't be happening! This can't be happening! What do I do? What do I do?! WHAT DO I DO?!'
