The Mega Frog was defeated! We could live life secreting stink oil from our awful-sauce glands in peace. The two heroes Finn the Human and Jake the Dog had saved us. But know the big question was, how could we ever thank them? The Woobeewoo Village Elder did give them a bag of lollies. But just a bag of lollies? What if the heroes are mad at us? I mean what if another ten-speed terrorizer comes? Like fresh out the grease? But how can I, Woobeewoo the Mudscamp figure that out. I mean, I had to work up the nerve to speak to the heroes… I'm shy. When I talk it comes out monotone and sort of fast, and… Well I don't want to talk about it. I mean how can South Woobeewoo- well there is no official name but I like to call it that- sleep at night knowing that we didn't repay the heroes properly? Well I don't know. We don't know how to be cool. The Village Elder agrees with me, we need to repay them better. The question is how do we do it? I mean were we live isn't even a good swimming hole (the heroes said that). If you get help from someone else, BAM, we have to repay them too. I mean, like what the glob!
Have you seen Ooo? It's HUGE to a Mudscamp. I mean one of the Elders guys that he sits on has a map. But where are we? Maybe if we make it to one of the things written on the map we can navigate to Finn the Human and Jake the Dog's house. But somehow we have to get them something on the way there. All I know is that we'll be setting out on this whole ordeal thing soon. We'll travel through Ooo and find the perfect thing to thank them with. I started this whole thing, so the Village Elder is making me lead it. How am I Woobeewoo the Mudscamp supposed to do this?
"Woobeewoo?" One of the Mudscamp villagers called out from my doorway. I turned around but stayed in my mud mound home. My face peeking out.
"Hello- Hello Phil." I secreted stink-oil, it hit Phil in the face. "Sorry." I my speech was sped. It was like that always, even though I tried to talk slower. Phil nodded.
"It's okay. So… what do you want to get for Finn and Jake?" I didn't want to talk to Phil. I'm shy and sort of anti-social. I only speak my opinion when I feel it is needed greatly.
"Um, ask the Elder, Phil." He secreted stink-oil on my mound. I sighed and turned around in my mound. I was in front of my desk. My papers were stained with red stink oil. But they were still read-able. They had ideas for presents and ideas were we were on the map. But these weren't papers for the public. They were just mine. I'm shy. I put my papers in a stink-oil stained folder. I heard the tinkling of a bell and turned around.
"Woobeewoo. I'm sen- sending you by yourself to find the gift. I me- mean we don't know how to be cool, or any of that." It was the Elder. I gasped. By myself? Wow….
"Okay." I said and turned back around. I removed my papers from the folder and looked them over.
Presents for Finn and Jake
Gold
Cakes
Gift basket
The gift basket seemed like the right thing. It could have a variety of presents. On the journey I could collect all the gifts. Right? I hoped so. I grabbed a pen in my mouth and circled the gift basket. I was really doing this. I pulled out a fresh piece of paper. I needed to write a letter to Jim, he would build me a cart I could pull. And I didn't want to actually talk to him.
Jim,
Please make me a cart that I can pull. It should be like a house on wheels. Thank you.
Woobeewoo
I sighed and put my belongings into a knapsack. This was going to be the journey of a lifetime.
