"What got you so deeply in your thoughts?" Veronica's gentle concerned voice surrounded her area.
Confused blue green eyes rose to meet those of the calm and gentle chocolate ones. "I don't know if I can truly trust ….." She paused in her speaking.
Veronica's head tilted. "What's going on B?" She placed a gentle hand on the blonde's right shoulder.
"Cheryl." Betty frowned.
Veronica tightened. "What has Cheryl done this time?" Her eyes narrowed at the thought of another go around with the redheaded that is making a life purpose on destroying Betty. Even if they were family … and it was just a familiar thing to do. Hell she wasn't on the best terms on most of her cousins of her own age … but she and neither did they go out of the way to put each other down the way Cheryl did with Betty.
"She was honesty nice to me." Betty's blue green eyes shown even more confusion. "It was like was when we first met one another back in day care. She was all about making friends with me … then she taunted me saying that how could she a Blossom ever be friends with a Cooper." Shaking her blonde hair. "She's up to something. There is no way that she is finally feeling a family feeling towards me … now that we not only found out we are cousins … but we share the same nephew and niece." She sat back against the footboard of Veronica's bed. "You know something; V. I really don't want to deal with this. It's just the usual Cheryl Blossom drama. I just have to deal that she is no longer just a thorn in myside … that once we leave high school behind us … and perhaps even Riverdale … than I may never see her ever again. Just to learn that she is in fact my cousin through my father. That I'm honesty stuck with her through family reunions for the rest of my life."
Veronica placed her hand on Betty's blanketed feet against her waist. "I'm sorry that you have to deal with this B. If there was a way for me to truly get Cheryl out of you life; and head space, then you know that I would do it."
Betty chewed her lower lip. "It is what it is. Just as long as Cheryl doesn't destroy Dagwood and Jupitor; then I can bare her."
"You know she fully adores those two." Veronica softly said. "Not just because they are Jason's. But she truly does love them for their own shake."
"There is that." Betty sighed. "I'm so sick and tired of this angst." Her eyes met Veronica's once more. "There has to be a chance of sheer joyfulness in my life right?"
Veronica moved so she was saddling the blonde's hip; her hands rising to embrace Betty's face in between them. "I'll spend the rest of my life ensuring that fact; B." She rested her forhead against the blonde's. "I love you." She husked against Betty's lips. "Ever so much."
Betty's eyes drifted closed. She gently gripped the other girl's waist in her hands. Gently squeezing as she relaxed with her girlfriend in her arms. Close to her. Sharing the same breath as she. "Hmmm …." was all that came out of her relaxed lips.
