"Being the One"

I never dreamed,

of being the one,

to fall in love,

the one,

to give my heart up so fast.

Praying to God to find someone,

but didn't count,

on being the one,

to find my soul mate.

Hoping for a life of my own,

but being the one,

to find a life with another.

Another who shares my soul,

being the one,

to have everything,

I've ever dreamed of.

Thinking countless of times,

of whom it would be,

but being the one,

to find him,

an angel in my presence.

A glory of light,

shining over my darkness,

being the one,

to have just a love.

Being the one,

to have a light,

of such pureness.

Being the one,

to be so happy,

is a blessing.

Being the one,

to have it all.

Makes me feel like God was listening.

Being the one,

to have sent,

such a wonderful man,

in my life.

Being the one,

to have and to hold him.

To spend the rest of our lives.
