You are my courage in the battle,
Your compassion is as deep as the sea,
Because I feel your strength,
And I know you'd never flee.
So as you guide my soul,
I am standing my ground here,
Though it is so hard to do,
I'm facing all my fear.
I feel you warriors blood,
coursing through my veins,
standing with me through it all,
and breaking all my chains.
But a question worms it's way,
Into my empty mind,
Why'd ya have to be so selfless,
Why were you so kind?
'Cause I'm lost without a way,
A little boy without a dad,
Now that your gone there's a void,
Our family's missing a treasure it once had.
Do you look down on me from heaven?
Do you look forward to the day,
When we'll finally meet each other,
And what will we say?
Will you be proud of me?
Will you be proud that I'm your son?
Or will you look on with distaste,
And say that I can't be the one.
I hope that you'll accept me,
I hope I'll earn your love,
And I'll be waiting here,
When you'll be sent from above.
