We woke up when our Dodrio crowed. Adam and I got dressed and went into the kitchen to eat breakfast. We ate very quickly and then ran out the door. "Bye Mom! Bye Dad!" I said. Mom and Dad waved as we ran over to Dr. Oak's. We rushed inside the door. "Are we late?" I asked. "Nope. Only one person got here before you." Dr. Oak said. "Who?" I asked. "Danny." Dr. Oak told us. "Oh no." I groaned. "What Pokemon did he get?" I asked. "A Bulbasaur." he said. "Oh, how pathetic!" I said. "I really want a Moltres." I said. He handed me Moltres, 200 Pokeballs and a Pokedex. He did the same with Adam except he gave Adam a Zapdos. We then went over to the Pallet Town Gym. Danny was battling with Dad. Dad is the Gym Leader of the Pallet Town Gym. Danny is our rival. "Hi guys!" Dad said. "I'll be with you in a second." Dad was a one-on-one battler. Danny threw a Pokeball. Out came a Bulbasaur. Dad was nice to Pokemon trainers since it was their first time to battle a Gym Leader so Dad threw a Pokeball. Out came his Squirtle. "Squirtle." {Okay.} "Bulba! Bulbasaur." {Get ready to go down!} "Bulbasaur, Vine Whip!" Danny said. Bulbasaur shot out his vines. "Bulba! Saur! Saur! Bulba!" {You're goin' down, Squirtle!} Dad taught me to translate Pokemon. "Squirtle, Bubble!" Dad said. Bubbles shot out of Squirtle's mouth. "This is simple." Danny said. "Bulbasaur, Leech Seed!" Danny fainted Dad's Squirtle. Dad gave him the Sunny Badge.
