I don't own the Digimon characters; that's Toei animation's job, and they can keep the profits.

Blue Is the Water

Blue.
It surrounds me everywhere
The water, my death
Your eyes, my life The balance of nature
Until you upset that balance
Or I did.
I don't know who is the betrayer

I'm leaving you all; say goodbye
Maybe you mean the good as in good riddance
Or maybe it is only the mist in my eyes
But the water is my friend. Like you once were

Was it fun, then, to betray me?
To watch me burst into tears while you pretend to console me?
You've hurt me more deeply than this liquid can
For water is not so cold as ice

I'm stepping into the lake
I don't feel it enclose my ankles, my waist
You'll never know what I still feel for you
For I'll not be here to say

I'm going under nowYou see me; I hear them yelling
But I'm already gone
Above you

I see you take a body from the lake
But that is not me. I am here.
I see those blue eyes fill with tears
And see that just maybe, you did care

Too late
I have crossed the barrier
I am in another blue
It is not your eyes, the tears, the water

I am in light. And the blue is what I feel.

A/n: Hey, my first poem that didn't rhyme! I was so inspired by everybody else's poems that I wrote one of my own.
