This is my latest Vincent Valentine poem, I haven't written any in a long time, I know...but while re-exploring Shinra Mansion...I got attacked by what I've come to call "the Vincent gene," aka...simply the inspiration that causes me to write things from Vincent's PoV...
~A Thousand Times Over~
I pity the soul that dares to fall in love.
I would have given my life for her,
A thousand times over,
But she would not have it.
Shattered and broken
For the sake of nothing
As these bloody tears run down my face,
I wonder, were you ever truly happy at all,
While I lay in my dying misery and pain?
I would've given my life for you,
A thousand times and more
But I only had once;
And even that could not save you.
So as I lie here in my endless death,
Accepted so willingly for your sake,
I wonder...
Will we ever live again?
